NOTE: This version completely gets rid of the map that was in previous versions. The rationale for this decision is that, as you may have noticed in the previous version, the CHP does not provide enough information to allow for reliable mapping of incidents. They are working towards improving on that, but in the meantime I have decided to pull the map feature -- at least until the quality of the information can match the quality and ease-of-use of the map. ALSO, please note that this version requires iOS 5. This version contains a completely-redesigned user interface, with three parts: 1. You can see a list of all the incidents in the state, and choose to sort them either alphabetically by area (or region) they're in, or how far away you are from that region. This listing also contains a cool feature that lets you see how many CHP units are actually at the scene of the incident. The incident list also adds pull-to-refresh functionality, which I'm sure you'll love -- I know I do! 2. Glossary -- same as before, but without the search. Let me know in the reviews if you'd like it back (-: . 3. Finally, I realized it would be really nice to streamline the process if you'd like to report things that you see on the road to the CHP. The third part of the app is a "Report" area, that not only gives you but a button to call 911, but also tells you roughly where you were when you pressed "Report". Great feature. Discontinued the free version.

• Significant performance improvements • You can now let friends and family know about incidents via email or SMS (text message). If you choose to let them know via email, the email will provide them a link they can tap to have the app on their iPhone or iPod Touch open up and show them the incident.
