Master your sense of time by practicing with a drum genius!
Created after years of research by Mauro Battisti (experienced musician and specialist in the field), Drumgenius is the choice of top players and leading music academies.
An ever-growing rhythm library to practice on — 500+ loops across 21 styles, reproducing real grooves by the best drummers and following authentic patterns of rhythms from around the world.
The loop player is packed with dedicated functions that put you in full control of every practice session. In-depth descriptions and insights offer a deeper understanding of the world of rhythm.

I think this is a great app, i use it every day during my warm-up session on chord scales, the only thing I think could be added to this for little effort but huge benefit would be a way to combine the patterns so that we’re not just listening to the same two measures but rather have the ability to take three or four of the patterns and specify an order for them and maybe number of measures before it switches to the next one, that way no additional transcribing needs to be done but rather just a way to combine them and of course they would all be subject to the same tempo. Other than that I think it’s great and I’m glad it’s here and I hope you make a lot of money and make some good friends.

Hi Kerry! Thanks so much for your review!I will consider your suggestion, for sure, in the future!A Big Hug, W La Musica and Happy Holidays :-)Mauro Battisti
Finally, a great beats metronome.
xsoundgardenx
Finally someone made a polished app using drum beats instead of a basic metronome click. I’m a professional classical musician and while I’ll still need to get out the tempo advanced app every now and then to do more complex subdivisions, for everyday basic practice with a backing click for time keeping this app is WAY MORE FUN to use Fun = practicing longer. I’ve tried a bunch of apps trying to do this over the years but none came close to this. It’s easy to change beats, to hear samples, and most important to adjust the speed and pitch of the track. The pricing is reasonable and there’s a lot of great choices. Most important, the interface is silky smooth and polished which makes using it a breeze. A+ well done devs! One suggestion: I purchased the 50 credit pack, but now I’m thinking I may want to get all of them. I wish there were a way to “complete your collection” at a discounted rate that totals the full price.l instead of having to pay for the full price in addition to what I already paid.

Drumgenius’ Fall From Grace
The Grieving Pianist
I’ve had Drumgenius for a while, probably a few years now, and just recently purchased the infinite credits pack. Today I opened the app to be greeted by an AI generated home screen icon. Jarring, but not unusual today, so I open the app only to see an obviously vibe coded UI with typos, poorly optimized loading, glitches that jump you back to the top of pages, no settings at all other than disabling screen standby, and the terms of use and privacy policy placed in the CENTER of the profile page. This is the laziest most pathetic cash grab I’ve ever seen. The count in function doesn’t even use the same metronome sound as the metrogenius function, because they literally just prompted Claude to add a count in to their loops and it made its own sound. They do all of this while moving to a predatory subscription model and raising their prices. I would have been completely fine if the developers just said, “listen, times are tough and we aren’t making enough money, we have to raise prices,” but this is insulting to everyone who has supported you and your project, and to all musicians. I regret ever giving you all a single penny.

Hi, I completely understand your frustration if you ran into initial bugs with the v4.0 release (though they are already patched in v4.0.4). However, calling this a 'cash grab' or dismissing it is really unfair to the reality of this project.First of all, every single loop in Drumgenius has been painstakingly programmed by me, note by note, stroke by stroke on a master keyboard over years of work. There is no automated shortcut for transcribing and crafting authentic drum grooves. It is genuinely sad to see an enormous amount of dedicated transcription, musical research, and independent development reduced to insults like that. I've always poured my heart into making this the best possible tool for musicians. If you're willing to give it a fair look, I'm always here by email to help sort out any actual issues you experienced.
Better than my drummer

Drumgenius is fantastic! It’s very easy to find the loop you want from its large catalog; and the feel is awesome, I literally can’t stop jamming to it. The Drumgenius loops have a very human, natural feel--not mechanical at all. Much better than any drum machine; and frankly, it’s better than most drummers I’ve played with over that last 40 years! As stated by many great musicians, such as Michael Breker and Pat Metheny, having good time is an essential skill for every musician. Play any notes you like, but phrase them well, and it sounds nice. Drumgenius is the perfect App to help a musician develop this vital skill of “good time!” Metronomes are fine, but Drumgenius is fun and educational. The diverse collection of awesome loops provides a fantastic practice tool for the serious Jazz improvisationalist, and the developer is extremely responsive. He responded to my question in less than 10 minutes! The software performs flawlessly, you will not be disappointed!

Thanks from heart my friend! I'm happy that you find my work fun and helpful :-)A Big Hug from Torino (Italy)Mauro Battisti
Count-in volume: a new speaker icon next to the Count-in button in the Player lets you set the count-in level independently from the loop.
Loop Catalog: from your Profile you can now open the full Drumgenius loop catalog as a PDF, in Standard or Large Print, and save or share it.
Bug fixes and stability improvements.
