Automatically record test results with a digital logbook that eliminates manual entry. The iHealth Gluco-Smart app saves time and eliminates errors by automatically handling tasks that are tedious with most blood glucose measuring systems, such as logging test results, charting data, and sharing results with caregivers. Add the secure cloud service (it’s free, too) and you have a convenient “go-to” testing system – wherever you are.
Measure – View readings instantly on your mobile device. Tag details to your results such as meals, activities, and voice memo. Upload offline measurements, and scan your new test strips for smart tracking.
Record – View a graphical summary of your past week, 2 weeks, month, and 3 months measurements and averages. Entries are all securely stored in your free iHealth cloud account for you to view at any time.
Manage – Review a digital logbook with all the details of your measurements, including time stamp, date, meals, carbs, activity, and voice memo. See stats and trends of key time periods broken out by day and meals.
Share – Share your results instantly with friends, family, or your doctor in .csv or pdf report format.
Note: Requires iHealth Gluco-Monitoring System or iHealth Align Glucose Meter which is purchased separately.

Sync issues with BG5 for the last several weeks
Over the last several weeks my BG 5 has had hit or miss success connecting to the app. It connects to the Bluetooth OK. IOS is up to date and the app is up to date. I have deleted and re added the device to Bluetooth as well as the app but that has not shown much improvement. Looking forward to the fix. Hard to depend on the device at this point. Thanks have an iPhone 8 that is always up to date.
Developer Response ,
If you have connected the meter with several phones, please make sure it is removed on all other phones or bluetooth is turned off on those phones. Otherwise, it might be a hardware issue, please contact email@example.com for further diagnosis.
Edited: Fixed! Update glitch: won’t sync with Apple Health
Edited 3/1/18: Sync restored and it’s retroactive. Thank you! Raised the rating by a star for that. It’s a great product and app, and I will probably raise my rating back up to 5 stars after seeing how the rest of things go with this update.
Original 3-star review: App quit syncing with Apple Health after latest update.
Otherwise a generally useful app. Developers haven’t responded to earlier emails, so only three stars for now.
Developer Response ,
Sorry for the inconvenience, we will release the bug fix v4.4.2 next week.
Thank you for your support.
Simple to use when it works right
I like being able to use this with my iphone. I’d really like to use my iPad or better yet, my Mac. Using this on an iPad is frustrating because it won’t orient in landscape mode.
There are sometimes issues connecting with bluetooth. I’ll have to go to settings on my ios device and re-pair the meter.
Readings may vary. If a reading seems “too good to be true” re-test. The cost of the ihealth strips is a bargain compared to other systems I’ve used.
