Outpatient and post dischargrge

this app fit my needs perfectly during outpatient SLP and OT since it untethered me from having to do all of my therapy at my therapist’s office while maintaining her engagement in the therapeutic process. As I am still not able to drive, it lightened the burden on my wife and allowed us to return more rapidly to “normal” life post stroke (travel, vacations, etc.) while staying involved in an ongoing brain healing regime. Post discharge I have continued with the program using a privately retained “therapy and tech Personal Trainer”, a recent therapy school grad with significant tech skills and CT experience who could adjust and customize the mix of CT exercises and give me feedback on progress. She has also helped me to overcome barriers to executive functioning by assisting with my mastery of iCal and Evernotes to build tech and organizational skills that I never dreamed of pre-stroke. While I continue to have some residual deficits and weaknesses, I am optimistic about the opportunities for major continuing progress.I Cannot say enough about the benefits of CT AND have recommended it so often that I joke that I should go on Commission. However, knowing that I may have helped someone as I have been helped is all the recompense I need.Thanks to all those who designed and built this phenomenal application!

I had a stroke last May following brain surgery. It wasn’t completely unexpected, but at one point I was only able to say “I”. Frustrating! One of the speech people in the hospital recommended Constant Therapy. So I started doing the program up to two hours a day. I was in the hospital without much else to do! I also had my brother visiting and he was making me attempt to tell him childhood stories, so I don’t want to discount his efforts. But the app made is easy to see how much progress I was making. I went from a handful of words the sentences. I ended up not needing the in hospital intensive therapy because I was already so advanced and was able to be discharged. I continued using it for about a month, and which time I was just using out patient therapy. I was truly so helpful!
This app had me speaking again!

New features and improvements: • New reports experience: Progress and detailed reports are now available on all screen sizes (phones & iPads), and are consistent with the reports available on the web. • More responsive & faster speech recognition: The app now uses the device’s built-in speech-to-text capabilities when possible, and has tuned the speech processing time to be better aligned with the types of speaking tasks. With these upgrades, therapy tasks such as “Repeat words in a category” will be much more responsive for the user. • Faster App access from the web and emails: Enhanced support has been added for email validation and app links (including launch and smart banners) making it easier to open / login to the app for users from the web. • Push notifications are now available for users with appropriate notifications aligned with the usage of the app. • Usability improvements: Improved layout and icons in several therapy tasks.
