Love this app. even did beta testing. but…

as the title suggests, I was involved in some of the early beta testing in this program throughout the Testflight days. as you can imagine the early days were glitchy, but most of the bugs most of the freezes and lagging has been has/have been worked out. that being said, the app is wonderfully useful, BUT. have a brand new 17 Pro Max, with the best battery life ever, and I have noticed it in every other sense, this app has the most immense ridiculous drain on a battery I have ever seen, almost double(edit: maybe just a BIT more, did some more testing) what any other mapping application does, this needs to be fixed.UPDATE: realize how involved developer is on various forums and i understand now the comparative drain for something with such a high function load. look forward to continued updates. 5 stars for innovation

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you're finding the app useful! I've done extensive testing with feedback from thousands of users to ensure that the App Store version of the app consumes power similarly to other mapping apps with navigation active. It reduces battery-draining operations significantly when you're moving slowly, and has gone through many iterations to reduce them while moving. That said, v1.2 will be largely focused on performance improvements and, since you're not experiencing the expected battery draw, I'll be revisiting this to lower power consumption further (meanwhile, v1.1 is coming soon and contains bug fixes and a handful of new features).Since you note having used the beta, please make sure that you're using the App Store version, as the beta is just that and has no guarantees for performance.EDIT: Thanks for the review update! This app is super legit and will elevate your overall driving experience. You will feel much more comfortable driving as it is extremely accurate in pointing out red light cameras, speed cameras, and ofc cops…There’s a heat map that shows where cops are typically pinned by users on waze and maybe google maps too which is just amazing (the area might be bright red/white if there have been many cop sightings over time or black if there have been none). This app is brand new as of now, Jan 2026, and it is already incredible. Cannot imagine what it will be like in years to come!

My girlfriend has bought the family plan under her IOS account, and it states that that should allow me to be under the same subscription, but there’s no explanation of how to connect this in the book or on the forum. Is this feature implemented yet? EDIT— read through the comments on here and now I see that we must be under the same apple family sharing plan. Leaving this up so that others can see. Recommend making this info easy to see in the app description as well as on RDF. Thanks!

My girlfriend has bought the family plan under her IOS account, and it states that that should allow me to be under the same subscription, but there’s no explanation of how to connect this in the book or on the forum. Recommend making this info easy to see in the app description as well as on RDF. Thanks!

Just returned from a five hour each way trip in Texas. I was new to radar detectors and learning as I went, hooking up Highway Radar to my Uniden R8. The combination is spectacular. Being able to see where the police had been reported on the Highway Radar map while also muting events from the radar detector itself, in combination with using Waze, saved my bacon several times on the trip down and the trip back. Easily one of the best apps I’ve ever used from the App Store since I started with iPhones a decade or so ago. Bravo to the developer!
