Why i changed from a 1 star review to a 5 star review
Soul knight enthusiast
I originally had the game at a 1 star review because i could not access it, and it constantly crashed. You can imagine how frustrating that is for the player, however i changed my review about 2 weeks later, as they fixed that problem. This not only shows how responsive the chilly panda staff is but also talented they are as game developers. The actual game itself is incredibly well made, but really is not like the original soul knight, the enemies are similar and the bosses are basically the same, how you actually play and it’s progression are different. The progression is much better than soul knight’s, easier to understand and complete while still being a grind. The gameplay i wish was a little more like the original with the use of guns but it’s a small complaint, the gameplay is really, really fun and creative. My biggest issue, is a feel like the game could have been better with player on player interactions, for example often times the multiplayer rooms don't work simply because the internet( of the other user) didn’t work, or they weren’t active. Secondly there could’ve been more players on player interactions with the use of pvp or card battles, so far their is no way to duel other players, which should be a mechanic especially in an rpg mmo game( which is what soul knight prequel is), even if dueling an other player is a little to hard to make work, they should atleast make card battles multiplayer not just with ai, that would make actually finding and using cards so much more entertaining. However that being said that really is just one problem that i nitpicked, all in all soul knight prequel is probably the best free mobile game on the App Store right now and should be a MUST HAVE for anyone.
A blast with a bug or two

I loved the original Soul Knight, and I might like this more. This game is like if Soul Knight and Diablo II had a baby, and it is a blast. I highly recommend it.And really, that is an understatement. It feels like the developers really wanted to take the things they learned from Soul Knight and improve on them here. And they succeeded. The tweaking system is fun, I enjoy leveling up the characters. It’s just good ole fun. Some current things to think about -As of December, 2023, there are a couple bugs. For one, I very frequently get a screen that pops up and gives me a message about connecting to the server. It goes away if I press retry and I don’t mind that, but maybe wait a little longer to try it if you think that will annoy you.It seems to err on the easy side. To be fair, I played way too much Soul Knight and I could just be that good. But also my five year old was playing and wasn’t overwhelmed, si there’s that. Honestly I kind of liked that aspect, I downloaded it on another device so we can play together. But for me, I wish it had a hard mode. I’ve tried going to worlds that suggest higher levels than I am and that’s better, but I’m still too buff and skilled I guess.Bottom line though:This is a solid RPG that I have already recommended to friends and family so they will play with me. I think you will enjoy it, I gave it 5 stars for a reason (even counting the bugs).*I am a level 12 Pyroknight at of the time of writing this
Overall Good, but too many errors

Very fun game. I quite enjoy it. Unfortunately the game is riddled with bugs. I note 3 significant ones below:1) Not Synchronizing w/ New SeasonMy old characters (which I’ve only made a week ago) do not sync up with the season updates, and this cannot participate with any of the new season’s benefits. Only my new character (made about 2 days ago) can. 2) Multi-player issuesI have played the multi player aspect of this game, but the game glitches too much, thus preventing a smooth play. For example, my old characters cannot play with my friend’s newer characters. Or during multi player games, the maps glitch and forces us to disconnect (thus far this has only happened when entering a room portal). Also notable is that cursed chests create monsters that each person must fight, as opposed to fighting together. I noticed this after opening a cursed chest and I only had slimes or goblins, but over the phone, my friend was fighting some lizard or dragon monster. Unsure if this is a feature or a bug. 3) Connection issues I still have no idea why I need to retry to connect to the server so many times. This game has a lot of potential, please fix these issues (and others that have been shared) to make the game enjoyable for all!
Developer Response
Hi thanks for reaching out and your detailed feedback. For issue 1) and part of 2), as far as for S1, the rules for seasonal transition are like this that characters created before the current season become permanent characters and are limited to new season's content, while unable to enter co-op mode with seasonal characters, but still can play with other permanent characters. We aim to encourage players to try out different classes along with other new stuff from seasonal updates. You can read articles on SKP web for more info (https://preview.soulknight-prequel.prod.chilly.tech/et), and these are also available on Discord. And for the glitch and network bugs, could you please offer us recordings of these issues and send it to info@chillyroom.games? It would be very helpful to us.
Was amazing

I used to play this game every day, and then they got rid of every unique ability that each subclass had. I tried for a while to get used to it but they also made every enemy insanely tanky while nerfing their damage into the dirt removing any threat that they could have posed, making even killing normal enemies a thirty second task. They also decided that instead of reworking or making any of the weaker characters stronger, they instead made every character weak, in a mainly single player game, with no pvp, why. There is nothing to buy to make yourself stronger so greed isn’t even a reason to ruin everything. The concepts of what they have added are great, but they have removed so much from the game that they’ve become useless. I bought the battle passes LONG before every single thing was needlessly watered down and those year and a half old purchases are the only thing stopping me from uninstalling. I logged on for the Halloween event to see if anything has changed, after I spent two minutes beating on the Halloween boss and not seeing his health bar move at all, I have decided to stop coping. Was peak, and now it’s not even worth logging on to collect daily rewards.
