The new app is well designed and works very well in India for all Indian Bank activities. It’s an amazing improvement from the previous app. However, outside India, it still has bugs and limitations such as not being able to update KYC through app, delayed OTP delivery and occasional crashing (though it has become much less in the last few months). A very good effort by Indian bank where I do all my banking in India.

It is a royal pain to be not able to see your account balances unless you click show account balances. One already goes through several hoops to launch the application with nonsense like MPIN, MTPIN, TXN PIN, enabling Face ID ETC. Then once Face ID clears it why make the user go through additional clicks to show the account balances unless? Also all computer science research shows that making the user change passwords does not improve security but rather only decreases the security. When will the so called security czars keep themselves abreast on these and stop insisting on changing passwords.

The bank manager and his staff at Alkapuri branch worked diligently to setup online banking for me while I was in US. Many thanks to them. Now using this app, I can bank from here in US like I am banking at the branch. There are quirks like it wont work if phone is connected to wifi network, will work if wifi is turned off and cellular network is used. But overall I am quite happy with its capabilities. Many thumbs up.

Finally an app fromIndian bank that is very easy to use and get your banking work done in a breeze. Much better than net banking and surprisingly very well laid out with clear menu, information at once without drilling too much deep and excellent performance.
