Voice Follow tells you when it cannot hear you Voice Follow needs both Microphone and Speech Recognition, and iOS asks for them separately, so it was easy to have one switched off without knowing. It used to sit there doing nothing. Now it tells you which one is missing and takes you to Settings. Instrument Filter is on by default If you sing while playing, the filter that cuts guitar and drums out of the mic is now on from the start, and QMe remembers it if you turn it off. Songs stop themselves at the end When the lyrics run out, the scroll stops instead of sitting there still marked as playing. Any backing track keeps going, so an outro is not cut short. G2 glasses: steadier scrolling The app now tells the glasses how long each line will hold, so they no longer have to work it out for themselves. Lyrics no longer jump at the start of a song or at a section change, and restarting a song behaves the same as picking one fresh. G2 glasses: section markers A + marks the first line of each section, so you can see a chorus or bridge coming without looking down at your iPad. New on the web: Glasses Preview At qmeprompter.com you can now see exactly how any song will look on your G2 lens before you play it, and it flags lines that will wrap or chords that will not fit.

FIXED: VIDEO RECORDING UPSIDE DOWN ON IPAD Recording with the iPad flat on a table or angled in a stand produced upside-down video. In those positions iOS reports no clear orientation and QMe assumed portrait. Landscape recording is now correct too. The camera preview also holds its orientation while recording, matching the video: a video file has a single orientation for its whole length, so a take cannot change direction partway through. Set the iPad how you want it before you press record. SMART GLASSES: CHORDS INSIDE THE LYRIC A new option shows chords in the lyric itself rather than on a row above it, so each chord stays attached to the word it belongs to. Turn it on in Profile, G2 Glasses, Even Realities G2. Off by default. SMART GLASSES: ONE DEVICE AT A TIME If you are signed in on two devices, both used to send lyrics to the glasses at once and fight over them. Now the glasses follow whichever device claimed them, and any other device offers to take over rather than interrupting. Pairing still syncs everywhere as before. SMART GLASSES: PAUSE The glasses now show PAUSE when you pause, instead of staying on PLAYING. Previously the iPad never told the glasses you had stopped.

Smart glasses, wired or wireless QMe now works with XREAL, Viture, RayNeo and Rokid display glasses alongside the Even Realities G2. These connect with a single USB-C cable and get their own full-size lyric view, big text with chords above the words, while your iPad keeps every control. No pairing, no account, and nothing travelling over wifi or bluetooth, so there is nothing to drop out mid-set. Needs a USB-C port that carries video: USB-C iPad Pro, several iPad Air and mini models, and iPhone 15 onward. Don't own a pair yet? Glasses Mode now has a Preview button that shows exactly what the glasses would display, on the device you already have. Control QMe from your MIDI pedal board Drive the teleprompter from a Morningstar MC8, a Behringer FCB1010, or any controller that sends Control Change messages. All six pedal actions can be learned to your own buttons, and QMe listens on every MIDI channel so a board that gets re-channelled between gigs keeps working. A diagnostics panel shows every message received and what it did, so a silent pedal is easy to trace. Works alongside a Bluetooth pedal at the same time. Tempo and scroll speed now save per song Set the BPM or the scroll speed on a song and it is there every time you open it, on every device signed into your account. No more re-dialling a song you already sorted out. Tell us what you think A new Leave Feedback button on the home screen sends bug reports and feature requests straight to the person who builds QMe, with your device and version details already filled in. Plus a Rate QMe option in Profile. Also fixed Restart now works mid-song without pausing first, and leaves you paused at the top if you were already paused. The section rail can be hidden for more lyric width. Song MIDI now fires whenever a song opens, not only from a setlist.

Flick to scroll Flicking the lyrics now glides the way it should, travelling further the harder you flick, and a tap stops it wherever you are. Getting back to a spot mid-song is much quicker. Previously the scroll stopped dead the moment you lifted your finger. Restart fixed The restart button now returns you to the top cleanly while a song is playing, instead of drifting back a line and carrying on. It also stays paused if you were paused, where before it would start playing on its own. Hide the section list A new Sections button in the teleprompter settings hides the section list on the right, giving your lyrics the full width of the screen. Your choice is remembered. Your sort order sticks The song list remembers how you sorted it, so you don't have to set it again every time you open the app.

Song MIDI fires when you open a song A song's MIDI commands now send as soon as it opens on the teleprompter, whether you got there from a setlist, a search, or your library. Previously they only fired automatically when opening from a setlist with "Send MIDI on Song Change" enabled, so you had to tap the MIDI button by hand. Now your rig is set before you play a note, and you can check it visually first. Per-song text size now suits every device A song's text size is remembered as a relationship to your normal size rather than a fixed size, so a song you shrink on your iPad looks proportionally smaller on your iPhone instead of oversized. Change your usual size and every song moves with it, keeping your dense songs comfortably smaller. Search fixes Searching no longer fails when autocorrect adds a space to the end of your text — previously that could hide a song whose title ended with the word you typed. The search on the Home screen also now ignores apostrophes, so "dont" finds "Don't" there as it already did elsewhere.

Chords stay aligned when lines wrap Long lyric lines used to push their chords out of position once the text wrapped. Now a long line splits at the wrap point and each chord moves down with the words it belongs to, so chords sit over the right word on every row, at any text size. Every song remembers its own transpose and text size Transpose a song once and it stays transposed the next time you open it, just like BPM. Text size can also be set per song — songs with dense lines can run smaller without changing your other songs. Even Realities G2 improvements The glasses display is decluttered: tab blocks, separators, chord diagrams, blank lines and section headers no longer take up space on the lens — every row is lyrics and chords. Transposed songs now show their transposed chords on the glasses, matching the iPad. And the foot pedal's glasses advance is tuned for the cleaner display. Plus Pinch-to-zoom no longer snaps back after a large pinch — the size you see is the size you keep.

Smooth scrolling, properly this time The last update promised smoother auto-scroll and didn't fully deliver it. This one rebuilds how scrolling works from the ground up. The lyrics now move at a genuinely constant speed — no more advancing in hops, no slowing down and pausing between lines, and the height of each line no longer affects the pace. Hitting pause now freezes the lyrics exactly where they are, instead of sliding on or jumping to the nearest line. A real speed range The speed slider now runs from a near-standstill crawl on the left, through your song's exact tempo at the centre, up to double tempo on the right — and the whole range works, not just the top half. The readout shows the speed as a multiplier of your tempo, like 0.75× or 1.5×. Thanks to the musicians who kept testing and reporting until this was right.

Smoother auto-scroll Auto-scroll now moves continuously. Previously it advanced a line and then sat still until the next line was due, which read as the prompter pausing at random. The scroll timing and the movement timing were calculated separately and didn't agree with each other. They now match, so the lyrics glide rather than stutter. Stop means stop Hitting pause used to let the movement already underway finish first, which at slower speeds could keep scrolling for several seconds after you'd stopped. It now stops immediately, wherever you are. Drag to move your place You can now drag the lyrics with your finger to move your position in the song. The section list follows along as you drag, so you can see where you're going to land, and wherever you let go becomes your new place. If the song was scrolling it carries on from there. Previously dragging only moved your view and snapped back to where you were. Speed slider now runs the right way The auto-scroll speed slider was reversed, with faster on the left. It now runs slower on the left and faster on the right. Your current speed is unchanged; only the direction of the control has flipped.

Chord alignment Chords now sit directly above the word they are played on. QMe has always stored the exact position of every chord in your songs, but the teleprompter was ignoring it and spreading the chords evenly across the line instead. On songs with a lot of chord changes that meant a chord could drift a word or two away from the syllable it belongs to. It now lands exactly where your song says it should. Chord lines that carry no position, such as a simple list like "Am F C G", are still spread across the line as before, so nothing changes for those songs. Even Realities G2 Chord positions are now passed through to the glasses. This lays the groundwork for an upcoming G2 plugin update that shows each chord above the words it is played on, instead of in a single row at the top of the display.

What's New in 1.15.0 Smoother setlist swipes. Changing songs mid-performance is now faster and more reliable. Swipes register right away, even slower, deliberate ones, so you stay in flow during a show. Improved tuner. More accurate and responsive pitch detection for quicker, more confident tuning.
