$5.99 · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

YourPods delivers a smooth and secure podcast experience across all your devices—even your vehicle. Enjoy refreshing, native playback on iOS, Apple Watch, and Apple CarPlay. No ads. No subscriptions. Ever.
We believe your listening habits belong to you, which is why we give you total control over your data. Listen using a secure, local-only account to keep your library lightning-fast and 100% private right on your device. For self-hosters and privacy purists, YourPods offers seamless, native integration with gPodder-compatible servers (like Nextcloud gPodder Sync, NextPod, and RePod). Sync your entire library across devices on your own terms—without ever relying on Big Tech corporate clouds.
Whether you’re a power listener trying to conquer a massive queue, or an everyday listener looking for a cleaner app, YourPods is built for you.
PRIVACY YOU CAN SEE
P3 — Privacy Preserving Playback strips tracking redirects and dynamic ad insertion from episode URLs before your device ever connects.
SYNC YOUR WAY
Choose how your data travels — or keep it local:
- Vault Mode: Everything stays on your device. No account or server required.
- Nextcloud / Self-Hosted: Bring your own gPodder-compatible server for full control.
- gpodder.net: Free public sync with no server setup required.
- YourPods Sync: Enhanced sync by yourpods.app — free account, cross-device queue, now-playing handoff, and listening stats.
POWERFUL PLAYBACK
- Per-podcast Listening Profiles: playback speed, skip intro, skip outro, auto-download, and AutoPilot queue management
- Chapters with auto-extraction from show notes
- Transcripts (SRT, VTT, JSON, plain text)
- Sleep timer with DriftOff Mode
- Download episodes for offline listening
- Smart episode notifications with per-podcast controls
- App icon badge for unplayed episodes
NATIVE APPLE ECOSYSTEM
• Universal Purchase: Buy once, use it across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.
• Apple Watch Freedom: Download episodes directly to your wrist for fast, offline, phone-free workouts.
• Siri & CarPlay: Full Siri command support for hands-free listening, and a beautifully integrated CarPlay UI.
• Dynamic Island & Lock Screen: Feels like an app Apple designed themselves.
TECHNICAL
YourPods is open source. No advertising identifiers. No third-party analytics. The Privacy Manifest declares exactly what data is collected — and in Vault Mode, the answer is nothing. View the full data transparency screen in Settings.
• Private Feeds: Securely add password-protected premium RSS feeds (like Patreon). They're stored locally along with credentials and not sync'd to any server.
• Sync Backend: Optimized for the gpodder sync (https://apps.nextcloud.com/apps/gpoddersync) Nextcloud app. Standard `gpodder` services may work but are not the primary focus and are untested.
• Protocol: Implements the Open Podcast Sync protocol for subscriptions (`SubscriptionDelta`) and actions (`EpisodeAction`).
• Architecture: Built with `provider` for state management and `just_audio` for robust playback.
• Platform Integration: Native integrations for CarPlay (Swift), WatchOS (SwiftUI), and iOS Live Activities.
• Podcast 2.0: supporting many features today, we're continually expanding compatibility for Podcast ecosystem.

more P3 — Privacy Preserving Playback
New opt-in privacy feature that strips tracking redirects and dynamic ad insertion from podcast URLs before playback. Your device connects directly to the audio host — no trackers are ever contacted. Blocks 20 tracking services across 32 domains. Enable globally in Settings or per-podcast from Listening Profile. A green shield icon appears on Now Playing when P3 is active.
Episode Notifications and Badges
Get notified when new episodes are discovered during background refresh. Control notifications per-podcast from each show's Listening Profile. If iOS missed a background refresh, you'll still be notified when you open the app. App icon badge shows your total unplayed episode count. 100% local — nothing is sent to any push server.
Hidden Episodes
Hide episodes to declutter your feed without marking them as listened. Use "Hide Older Episodes" on a podcast page to batch-hide an entire back catalog in one tap. Hidden episodes are filtered from your feed and excluded from unplayed counts. Hidden state syncs across all your devices.
Clear Queue
New "Clear Queue" option in the Up Next menu. Choose "Clear Up Next" to remove upcoming episodes while keeping the current one, or "Clear Everything" to stop playback and wipe the queue. Respects your queue removal preferences.
Episode Activity
YourPods Sync users can now see a chronological list of played episodes below the listening stat cards — episode title, podcast name, progress, timestamp, and device. Sort by Recent or By Podcast.
watchOS: Recently Updated
The Apple Watch home screen now shows the 10 most recent unplayed episodes with artwork, podcast name, and relative timestamps. Cached locally for offline access.
Cross-Device Sync
Your currently-playing episode now syncs between devices in real time. Pull-to-refresh performs a full sync — subscriptions, queue, positions, and settings alongside your RSS feeds. Background refresh now syncs everything automatically. Per-podcast Listening Profile settings (speed, skip intro/outro, AutoPilot, privacy mode) sync across all your devices.
Reliability
Fixed episodes replaying instantly instead of from the beginning. Fixed stale episodes inflating episode counts after feed providers rotate content. Fixed background refresh and notifications only working when plugged in. Fixed the app being killed by iOS after 3+ hours of continuous playback due to excessive disk writes. Fixed watchOS app freezing and refusing to relaunch. Resolved multiple crash-causing data races in the audio engine. Feed refresh is now up to 6x faster for large libraries. Disk I/O reduced by approximately 95% during long listening sessions. Over 40 additional stability and sync fixes across iOS, macOS, watchOS, and CarPlay.

Accessibility & Interface
VoiceOver Excellence: We’ve brought comprehensive VoiceOver support to the entire app. Navigate episodes instantly using custom rotor actions, scrub through audio with adjustable seek bars, and hear dynamic, descriptive labels on all playback controls.

Vault to Sync Upgrade: Started local but ready for the cloud? You can now easily upgrade your local Vault Mode library to a gPodder sync server without losing a single subscription.
Lightning Fast Sync: Feed refreshing is now up to 6x faster, complete with a real-time progress display for massive libraries.

Your car dashboard, Bluetooth speakers, and headphones with displays just got an upgrade. We now parse the RSS feed so the "Artist" field properly shows the Podcast Creator, and the "Album" field displays the Podcast Name. You always know exactly what you're listening to at a glance.
+Upgraded Private Feeds
• Premium/Patreon feeds are now much easier to manage. Password-protected feeds display a distinct padlock badge on their artwork in your Library and episode lists.

You now have total control over what happens when you swipe to remove an episode from Up Next. Choose whether swiping to remove simply removes the episode, removes and marks it as played, or have the app always ask you. First-time removers will be prompted to choose their preference, which can be changed anytime in Settings → Queue Management.
