This app is so superior to the native Ember Mug app. It opens quickly, doesn’t log out out every few days, and just runs faster. It is EASY to use (which is really all you want from an app that controls your coffee mug temperature).There are some cool features that are locked behind a paywall (which I don’t pay for). Those would be neat but are definitely not necessary. The free functionality alone is worth it.Do not use the regular Ember Mug app. This is better!

I was extremely disappointed when I bought my Ember to realize that Apple Watch support was no longer offered. But I am overjoyed to have found Mug Monitor!! This software is hands-down, at least 10X better than anything Ember ever created. It is the perfect companion to the Ember mug with thoughtful features, including my favorite, the flashing mug light when my perfect temperature is reached! If you own an Ember mug, you have to get Mug Monitor! 😊

A huge upgrade

I love the Ember mug, but the regular ember app has become borderline unusable bloatware. This third-party app is focused on just one thing: making the mug work, and doing it incredibly well. Everyone with an Ember mug should use this app. The extra features are also worth the inexpensive subscription, IMO — the live activity monitor integrates well with Apple Watches, largely replacing a feature that Ember killed on their own app a year ago.

This app is really nice. I can see the status of my mug on my computer and iPhone, and it stays connected without giving me false alarms when my cup is empty. What more can I say? The main reason it gets four stars is that it does not connect to Apple Health, unlike the original app. So I have turned off the notifications from the original Ember app, but I still use it to record my morning coffee so that I can report my caffeine intake.
