Free for adults recovering from aphasia. No account, no trial, no upsell. Three simple exercises. Three languages. Free language practice for adults recovering from aphasia after a stroke — no accounts, no tracking, no subscription. I built Alfee for my mom. She had a stroke and lost the ability to recognize letters.I couldn't find anything that wasn't outdated or a clinical platform with a subscription, so I made something she could open on her phone, one-handed, and just start. WHAT'S INSIDE • Read — practice reading whole words at your own pace. Tap any letter to hear its sound, or hear the full word. • Listen — hear a word and pick the matching written option • Match — connect a picture to the right word Three exercises. Three languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese. DESIGNED FOR HOW IT'S ACTUALLY USED • Big buttons. One-handed. Works with iOS assistive features on. • No instructions to read. Icons with a single-word label as backup. • Same interaction shape across all three — learn one, you know them all. • No data collection or tracking. WHO BUILT IT I'm a family member, not a speech-language pathologist. AI tools made it possible for someone like me to build something this specific. The English content was written by me. Spanish and Portuguese translations are AI-assisted — please write if you find anything off. Alfee isn't a substitute for therapy and it doesn't sync with your SLP's system or track progress. It's home practice support — something to keep working with between sessions. If you want a fully clinical platform with progress reports, there are paid apps designed for that. If you want something to use at home this afternoon, Alfee is here. I built it for my mom and figured it might be useful to other families in the same spot. If you try it and there's anything I could do to make it better, please let me know - alfee@mandalivia.com Also available on the web at alfee.mandalivia.com.
