Know what is open, where it is, and who needs to act on it. Built alongside real construction workflows and field sales operations, HeavyCivilHelper helps contractors, canvassing teams, inspectors, field crews, and operators understand activity geographically and coordinate work visually.

2026.10.11 - Bug Fixes & Performance Improvements to timestamp camera workflow.
2026.10.11 Oct 12
Capture, locate, and follow through.
Capture the condition with its context
Take a photo or choose one from your library directly from the project map
Choose map, satellite, or blueprint context and review the location, date, and time on the finished image
Use a project blueprint or bring in a plan image when you need to place the photo on a sheet
Name the capture and add notes before uploading; retryable uploads remain queued on your device and retry when Field is open with connectivity
Attachments belong on the map
Find location-tagged captures and attachments at their project-map locations, not just in storage
Review the same evidence in Project Photos, the attachment list, or the related record
Open saved timestamped images from records and linked custom-pin attachments, with the original photo context intact
Open the evidence without entering Edit
Tap a photo thumbnail in a pin or record detail sheet to view it fullscreen
Keep viewing separate from editing: authorized read-only members can review photos without changing the record
Saved timestamp images stay consistent across map previews, Project Photos, and record attachments
Share the location, not the project
Share the selected pin's name and exact coordinates through a Google Maps or Apple Maps link
Help someone find a pickup, inspect a field issue, or reach the correct location without granting project access
Open directions from the pin's detail sheet, with a browser fallback if the selected maps app is unavailable
Location sharing does not send project records, files, photos, or private notes
Keep native map navigation simple
Tap ordinary map pins to open their detail sheets directly
Use native map gestures, plus separate extra-zoom buttons at the native zoom limit for up to 4× visual magnification
Switch between the live map and fullscreen blueprint sheets with rotation-aware pins and field-friendly zoom controls
One HCH account across Web, Field, and Lens
Activated Free and paid members can use their authorized project's capture and attachment tools
Free includes five lifetime attachments total across Web, Field, and Lens; project permissions, storage allowances, and other plan limits still apply
Captures upload to the shared project for office review and follow-up in the Web workspace; other devices refresh with connectivity

Your account is now protected with optional two-factor authentication. When enabled, a one-time verification code is sent to your email each time you sign in — adding an extra layer of security for your field data and project records.
Sign in with Google & Microsoft
You can now sign in using your existing Google or Microsoft account. If your HeavyCivilHelper account is linked to either, just tap the button and you're in — no password required.
Automatic Session Security
The app now automatically signs you out if your session becomes invalid or your credentials change, keeping your account protected at all times.

What's New in 1.0.4
Viewer Role (Same as on Web)
Added a new View Only role for collaborators. Viewers can see all project data, maps, records, and pins but cannot make changes. Role badges now appear on project cards so you always know your access level at a glance.
Notifications
Deadline reminders now actually work. Set advance reminders (12, 24, 48, or 72 hours before a due date), day-of overdue alerts at 8 AM, and an optional daily digest — all delivered directly to your device. The notification time picker now shows a proper hour, minute, and AM/PM selector instead of a manual text entry.
Add to Calendar Fixed
"Add to Calendar" and "Sync to Calendar" now work correctly on both iOS and Android. The app creates a dedicated HeavyCivilHelper calendar on your device and handles iCloud, local, and other calendar sources automatically.
Team Management
Project owners can now remove members from a project directly from the collaborators screen. Members can also leave a project themselves. Quick access to your project team is now available from the More tab.
