Ibex: Photo & Video Cleanup
Compress videos, reclaim space
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Other cleaners can only delete. Ibex also shrinks what you keep — compress oversized videos in place, find duplicates with on-device AI, reclaim gigabytes.
Most cleanup apps can only delete things to save space. Ibex can also shrink what you keep: it re-encodes oversized videos and photos in place — same memories, same dates and locations, a fraction of the size — and finds the duplicates and clutter worth deleting, entirely on your device.
SHRINK YOUR LIBRARY — FREE
• Re-encode oversized videos to efficient HEVC and photos to HEIC at the quality you choose.
• Optionally cap video resolution (4K → 1080p) to multiply the savings.
• In place, in your library: dates, locations, and metadata are preserved; originals are replaced only when the result is genuinely smaller. Live Photos are never touched; RAW conversion is a switch you control.
SWIPE A LITTLE EVERY DAY — FREE
• A fresh 2-minute deck of your photos every day: swipe right to keep, left to delete, down to favorite.
• Photos from this day in past years, month-by-month progress, and a streak to keep you going.
• Photos in your Favorites are never touched by any cleanup.
FIND DUPLICATES, KEEP THE BEST — FREE
• Apple's Vision framework spots duplicate and near-identical photos and videos across your whole library, even at 70,000+ items.
• On-device AI stars the best shot of every group — sharpness, exposure, and framing, not just the biggest file.
• Confidence labels and a confident-only filter keep false matches out of your way.
• One-tap clean of confident groups: keeps the AI-starred best of each, trashes the rest.
SEE YOUR BIGGEST FILES — FREE
• Every photo and video ranked by size, filterable to videos or photos, with batch select and delete.
CLEAR THE CLUTTER — FREE
• Screenshots, found instantly.
• Blurry and badly-exposed photos, surfaced by on-device AI.
• Document photos — receipts, whiteboards, paperwork — found by on-device text recognition.
SAFE BY DEFAULT
• Nothing is ever deleted without your confirmation, and every removal goes to Photos' Recently Deleted — recoverable for around 30 days.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Everything runs on-device: PhotoKit, Vision, and AVFoundation.
• No accounts. Your photos and videos never leave your device — the app sends only anonymous usage and crash diagnostics.
• Standard Photos permission — you stay in control.
Every feature is completely free — no caps, no limits, no subscriptions. Including the one thing deleting can't do: making the library you keep smaller.
