Chain Scroll
A Scrolling Cessation Tool
Only for iPhone
Free · In‑App Purchases
iPhone
I turned my phone into a pack of cigarettes. Each time you “light up,” your scroll count goes down. Always free to use on one “trigger” app. Not another subscription.
You quit smoking. You can quit scrolling.
Chain Scroll treats your phone like a pack of cigarettes. Pick the apps you open without thinking and every time you “light one up” it buys you a 3-minute scroll break like your old smoke break.
When it's out, the app locks back up and the pack shows one less scroll.
HOW IT WORKS
• Built on Apple's Screen Time. Chain Scroll never watches you
• Each open of a trigger app = one light-up from today's pack
• A light-up lasts 3 minutes then re-locks (though you can set the duration of your choice)
THE RITUAL
• Home Screen widget
• Dynamic Island countdown
• The Carton Review: your week in packs
• Blends: reskin your pack
• Lighter Mode: pair an NFC sticker as your physical “lighter” and tap it to light up
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No analytics. No server. Apple's privacy design means we can't even see which apps you pick. Everything stays on your device.
FREE AND PAID
Free: the full core mechanic on one app, plus both widgets. Or try everything free for 30 days and keep it all with a single one-time purchase. No subscription, ever.
Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
New in 1.0.6:
• Choose how you "light up." Right in the app you're opening, being forced to click into Chain Scroll first to "open your pack," or by using your "lighter" (your NFC sticker-enabled totem).
• The Light up button greys out while your trigger apps are lit.
• Logo update on the widgets.
• The lighter guide's demo now shows the in-app flow.
