- Aircraft on Apple Maps now glide smoothly at every zoom level, with no more jumps after zooming - Aircraft shadows, like on the main map - Smoother following and zooming on Apple Maps - Many fixes and performance improvements.

Apple Maps is here • Three new maps: Apple Maps Light, Dark and Auto (follows your iPhone's appearance) • Satellite now uses Apple's imagery, including a real 3D globe • The map runs much smoother, even with thousands of aircraft at once • Zooming while following a flight now works every time • Make the map yours: arrange boxes, buttons and colours in edit mode, layouts are saved to your account • Lots of improvements and fixes

What's new in this build • Haptic feedback — buttons, toggles and key actions now give a subtle tap. • Native share & save — sharing or saving a flight recap / logbook card now uses the real iOS share sheet, so you can save straight to Photos or send it anywhere. • Polished status bar — light status-bar styling edge-to-edge with the map. • Connection screen that fixes itself — if the app can't reach Waypoint, it no longer gets stuck. It now retries on its own, reconnects the instant your signal returns, and — if your network or DNS is actually blocking the app — tells you exactly that with what to do (switch network, set DNS to 1.1.1.1, restart an Asus/AiProtection router). Please test: open the app normally and confirm haptics feel right; share/save a recap card to Photos; then try Airplane Mode → open the app → after a few seconds you should see the "Reconnecting…" screen, and turning the connection back on should reload the app by itself.

Introducing Contrail — the photo & video feed for Infinite Flight pilots, built right into Waypoint. • Share photos and short clips from your flights • Follow pilots, like, comment and post 24-hour stories • Slipstream: a full-screen video reel • Explore by airport, aircraft and livery — or search for pilots • Multiple profiles, tag friends, collaborate on posts, and share to the Global chat Plus fixes and refinements across the app.

• ATC copilot: when linked to Infinite Flight, the copilot alerts you when ATC is awaiting a reply, reads incoming radio calls aloud, and lets you answer with one tap — no more fumbling the comms menu. • Smoother, faster live map and cockpit link. • Various fixes and refinements.

Bug fixes and reliability improvements: • Fixed a Live Activity issue where, in rare cases, another pilot's flight could appear on your Lock Screen — live flight tracking now only ever shows your own flight. • Stopped duplicate Live Activities from being created for the same flight. • General stability improvements.

• Siri & Shortcuts: just say "Open Waypoint" to jump to the live map, or "Open an airport on Waypoint" to pull up any airport by its ICAO code. • New Skydeck widget: your Skydeck level, cards and hours — on the Home Screen, Lock Screen and in StandBy. • Live flight on your Lock Screen / Dynamic Island now starts and ends more reliably. • Various fixes and improvements.

Fixes a bug where watching another pilot's flight could put their flights on your Lock Screen on its own. "Live flight" now tracks only your own flight automatically; watching someone else's flight is a one-time view that clears when they land. Thanks for the reports — and for flying with Waypoint!

New in Waypoint: • Proximity Chat — message pilots flying within 150 nm of you, right on the live map. Sign in and spawn into a flight to join the conversation. • React to messages with emoji and see who's in range. • Stability improvements and minor fixes.

• Sign in with Google now works right inside the app, using the secure system browser sheet. • Tapping a Home Screen widget, Lock Screen widget or a live flight notification now jumps straight to that flight or airport on the map — even when the app was fully closed. • Various fixes and refinements.

Pick your flight on Lock Screen & Home Screen widgets • Flying several flights at once with Autopilot+? Choose exactly which one your widget tracks — or select "Automatic" to always follow your most-active flight. It switches on its own as flights take off and land. Plus performance and stability improvements across the live map.

Three new home-screen widgets! • Airport widget — pick any airport and see live inbounds, ground traffic and active ATC at a glance, with a photo of the field as the backdrop. • Server status widget — flights and active ATC on all three Infinite Flight servers. • Virtual airline widget — see who's flying your VA's colours right now, branded with your airline's logo and colours. All widgets come in small and medium sizes, support dark, light and system appearance, and are configured right on the home screen (long-press → Edit Widget).

Redesigned Live Activity • Flight progress on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, now styled like a real flight tracker: departure and arrival codes with an aircraft that fills up as your flight progresses • Live Activities can now start automatically when your flight begins to move — enable "Live flight" in the app once and your next flight appears on the Lock Screen by itself (iOS 17.2 or later) Widgets • New light appearance — choose dark, light, or follow your system setting • Widgets now use your preferred units (altitude, speed, distance) from the app settings • Livery photos now show in the light appearance too Also in this update • New Units settings: pick your preferred units for distance, speed, altitude, vertical speed, and temperature — used across the whole app • Fixed flight phase labels (a fast initial climb no longer shows as "Taxiing") • Smaller visual fixes and refinements

Smoother sign-in and flight planning: • Discord sign-in now uses the system sign-in sheet — passkeys are supported and you can cancel at any time • Generating a SimBrief flight plan now opens in Safari and imports back into the app automatically • New flight plan options: passengers, cargo, route, cruise altitude, alternate, callsign and more Plus the latest map improvements: airline names in their real brand colors, sharper aircraft icons, and server-specific ATC alerts.

• New home-screen widgets — small, medium, and a large 4×4 that shows two flights — tracking a flight you choose. • A Live Activity for a chosen flight, live on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. • Optional sign-in with Apple or Discord to sync your friends, fleet, filters and profile across your devices. No account is required to use the app. • Edge-to-edge map fixes and general polish.
