Photos you attach to a question now stay with it when you retry or edit it. Photos from an on-device chat never leave your phone, even then.

Privacy: a conversation you have with an on-device model now stays on your device, even when you switch to a site model, which starts a new chat instead. Photos lose their location data, and on-device photos are deleted with their conversation. Code blocks in replies finally look like code, with highlighting and a Copy button. New chats suggest a few ways to start, using your saved prompts first. Also: the sidebar shows when each chat happened, buttons are easier to tap, Try again after an error, a confirmation before deleting a downloaded model, and better VoiceOver, larger text and Reduce Motion support.

IMPROVED Images from a WordPress site running on your own computer now display, instead of a broken placeholder.

NEW Workspace now works without WordPress too. Download open models (Qwen, Gemma, LFM) and chat privately on your iPhone, with no connection and nothing leaving the device. On a connected site, they appear under Offline. The model now sits at the top of the chat, and each conversation remembers the model it was using. IMPROVED Photos are resized before they are sent to your site, so they upload faster and fit within a host's upload limit. iPhone HEIC photos are converted to JPEG, and location data is removed. When a file cannot be uploaded, the app now tells you why, instead of only turning it red. You can now rate Workspace from Settings. It really helps.

IMPROVED Stopping a reply now keeps exactly what you saw, and the question no longer shows up twice once your site finishes writing it. This needs AI Engine 3.8.1 or newer on your site. On an older one, the stop stays on your phone. When your site cannot save or delete a prompt, the app now tells you and shows your site's list again. A few changes your site refused, like renaming this device, no longer look like they went through.

IMPROVED When your site cannot save something, the app now says so instead of quietly showing you something your site does not have. A rename or delete that did not go through is explained in the sidebar and the list shows your site's version again. A stopped or edited reply that could not be saved is flagged in the chat. Deleting the conversation you are reading only takes you to a new chat once your site has actually removed it. The MCP servers note now also tells you what to do: switch to an OpenAI or Anthropic model to use them.

FIXED MCP servers are now switched off for the models that cannot use them. Only OpenAI and Anthropic models can reach them, and the app says so instead of letting another model answer as if it had used your tools. Your choice of servers is kept, so switching back to a model that supports them brings everything straight back.

IMPROVED Finding a model is much easier. The search field now sits at the top of the model picker, where you will actually see it. Search matches every word you type, in any order, so "sonnet claude" or "openrouter gemini" finds what you mean even in an environment with hundreds of models. If nothing matches, the picker says so.

NEW Switch apps while the AI is answering: the reply is waiting for you when you come back, with no error in between. Long answers that finish while you are away are picked up from your site. Connecting now shows what is happening: a progress screen with what Workspace can do while your site pairs, a Cancel button if it takes too long, and a clear message if your site does not answer. Settings > Site has a "This device" name, so your phone appears by name in the site's paired devices instead of as "iPhone". The reasoning picker only offers the levels the selected model accepts, with the next AI Engine release. FIXED The connection steps skipped the one that matters: enabling the Workspace module. They now start there, and the app says so when the module is off on your site. Connecting manually explains what is still missing instead of greying out the button, and tells you when what you typed is a login password rather than an Application Password. All three typing dots animate now, not just the first.

REFINED The cat from the app icon now opens your conversations, in its real colours, and greets you on a new chat. The buttons and the message box are set in glass, picking up the colour that flows behind them. Replies are larger and easier to read, and the spacing is even throughout: lists no longer bunch up between points. Editing one of your own messages moved to a long press on it, with Copy alongside, which gives the conversation more room to breathe. FIXED The button that opens your conversations sometimes needed a second tap. It does not any more.

A NEW LOOK The conversation now owns the whole screen. The top bar is gone: controls float over the chat, the model you are talking to sits in the composer next to your message, and its parameters (temperature, reasoning effort) are one tap away inside the model picker. Sending carries your message to the top and the reply streams into the space below it, like you expect from a modern AI app. A soft glow in your accent colour flows down from the top of the conversation, and quietly brightens while the AI is working. Scroll up to re-read and an arrow appears to bring you back to the latest reply. Text melts into a blur as it slides under the top of the screen. New conversations greet you properly, with the cat. And when your site cannot be reached, the app now offers Retry and a one-tap switch to the on-device model.

FIXED An unreachable site no longer locks you out of the app. The error used to cover the buttons at the top, so you could not switch sites, open Settings, or use the on-device model until the site came back. The connection error now offers Retry and, on devices with Apple Intelligence, a one-tap switch to Offline. It can also be dismissed. The app retries the connection by itself when you come back to it, so once your site is up again, everything simply reconnects.

FIXED Connecting now works on sites that block the WordPress users route. Security plugins commonly turn it off to stop user enumeration, and that was the one route the app used to check a new connection, so WordPress showed the device as paired while the app still said the connection was not valid. A refused connection now explains itself. The app asks the site what went wrong and passes the answer on, whether the credentials were dropped on the way to WordPress, a security plugin blocked the request, or the account is not an administrator. IMPROVED Settings shows which version of AI Engine the site is running, which is the first thing worth knowing when something misbehaves. Connecting no longer depends on a site sending every last detail the app knows about, so an older or newer AI Engine will not keep you out.

NEW Offline. Apple Intelligence now runs on the device itself, so Workspace still answers with no site, no network and no keys. It appears as an environment called Offline, on devices that support Apple Intelligence. Web Search. Let the model look things up and answer with current information. Available on models that support it, when your site has web search enabled. IMPROVED A new app icon. A zoomed image can now be dragged around in the full-screen viewer. Replies scroll smoothly as they arrive instead of jumping with every word, and scrolling up to re-read no longer pulls you back down. The whole input area responds to a tap, not just the line of text. Your model is named the moment the app opens, instead of showing "Pick a model" for a second first. Folders deleted in the web Workspace now disappear here too, when you pull to refresh or come back to the app.
