Fixed: a film dated January 1 could be given the year before, and that wrong year could get in the way of finding its Apple TV listing. Films now come in with the right year. In case you missed it: Settings now has a More from How to Movie section, with our new family game night app, Movie Night, alongside How to Movie, Movie Canvas and How to TV.

Sale Watch. For the Black Friday stretch, Deal Hunter checks every film you track once a day instead of once a week, and shows you the moves day by day, with every record low flagged. Your lifetime savings now appear on the widget, and there are lock screen widgets too: the deals you are watching, and what you have saved so far, on the screen you already look at twenty times a day. Top Films deals a fresh set of genres every time you open the app.

Deal Hunter reads each movie's runtime, director and IMDb id, so a film is no longer confused with a documentary that shares its title, and it can still find a price when Apple's own search comes up empty. Your TMDb ratings and watchlist now sync every day, before the price checks, and a Coming Soon film starts being watched the moment Apple can sell it. If your TMDb connection ever expires, the app says so and lets you reconnect. Price history is leaner too: only the moments a price actually changed are kept, so every drop and all-time low is still there.
