YOUR GOAL, YOUR NUMBER
You set your own daily protein goal, and the app tracks it. It doesn't ask your weight, and it doesn't pick a number for you. Not sure where to start? Tap "Don't know your number?" for a chart of what published guidelines say, by body weight, with the sources listed. They're general figures, not advice for you — pick your number with a physician, dietitian, or other qualified health provider.
KEEP THE STREAK ALIVE
Streaks, levels, and a full history calendar of every day you've logged. Miss a day and progress just slows — nothing shames you, nothing resets out of spite. Optional reminders ask you to log what you already ate; they never tell you to eat.
BUILT LIKE A TANK, PRIVATE LIKE A VAULT
No account. No ads. No tracking. Your log history lives on your phone and nowhere else — delete the app and it's gone. The Health & Safety screen, including crisis and eating-disorder support resources, is always readable without paying.

Jack Steel's Protein Tracker is a paid app. Your first session is yours to try - log some protein and watch him grow. After that a purchase is required to keep using it. The Yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
What you get
Everything: logging your protein, setting your own daily goal, your streak, your levels, your full history, reminders, and every celebration and backdrop. There is nothing else to buy and no other purchases inside the app.
Free without paying
The Health & Safety screen, including crisis and eating-disorder support resources, is readable without paying.
Ways to pay — pick one
• Monthly — $0.99 per month, auto-renewing
• Yearly — 7 days free, then $9.99 per year, auto-renewing. The free trial is for new subscribers; Apple decides eligibility (one free trial per Apple Account). Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends and you are not charged.
• Lifetime — $30, one payment, does not renew
The Lifetime option is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It does not renew and there is nothing to cancel. If you already have a subscription, buying Lifetime does not cancel it — cancel that yourself in your App Store account settings.
For the monthly and yearly options: payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your Apple ID account settings after purchase.

Ratings & Reviews

• The purchase buttons now say exactly what they do: subscribe monthly, subscribe yearly, or buy once.
• The goal screen now asks whether you've gone over your number with a parent, guardian, or health provider. Your answer stays on your phone, and you can start either way.
• Fixed: with the number pad open on the goal screen, the first tap on a link only closed the keyboard.
