Mindmap Shelf is a mind-mapping app built for the way ideas actually arrive: half-drawn, half-spoken, scribbled on a whiteboard, or buried somewhere in a lecture. Sketch freely on an infinite canvas, then turn those sketches into structured, searchable maps. Everything stays on your device.
DRAW AND ORGANIZE ON ONE CANVAS
Most apps make you choose between freehand notes and structured outlines. Mindmap Shelf puts both in the same place. One finger draws ink. Two fingers pan around the map. Switch to Select to tap a node, rename it, or change its task. Your handwriting and your structure live together, so a quick sketch can become an organized map without starting over.

CAPTURE WITHOUT BREAKING YOUR FLOW
Every capture lands on the tray first, so nothing interrupts what you were doing. Look it over, then apply it to the map when you are ready, and undo it if you change your mind.
- Voice — speak an idea and watch it become nodes
- Photo — snap a whiteboard or page and text recognition turns it into editable content
- Text — type an outline; indentation builds the parent and child structure
- Handwriting — select ink on the canvas and convert it to text
LECTURE MODE
Record a lecture while you draw. Your ink is timestamped alongside the audio, the recording is transcribed on your device, and every sentence becomes a node synced to the moment it was spoken. You can jump straight back to what was being said when you wrote something down.
AI OUTLINE
With Apple Intelligence, a rough capture becomes a clean, structured outline. You see your original text beside the result, edit it by hand, regenerate for another attempt, or apply it. The AI proposes; you decide. Nothing is written into your map without your approval.
TASKS YOU WILL NOT FORGET
Mark any node as a to-do, set a due date, and get a reminder when it comes due. To-do nodes can also mirror into Apple Reminders, so your tasks sit alongside everything else you track.

Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets show your content at a glance. Content is indexed for Spotlight so you can find it from system search. Siri and Shortcuts actions let you capture by text, photo, or voice, hands free.
PRIVACY BY DEFAULT
No account. No sign-in. No servers holding your work. No tracking, no analytics.
The free version shows a small, non-personalized banner ad to support development; these ads are not based on your content. Mindmap Shelf Pro removes advertising entirely.
Your maps, ink, notes, images, audio recordings, and transcripts are stored on your device. Text recognition, AI structuring, and speech transcription run on your device wherever it is supported. Mindmap Shelf does not send your content to us, because there is nowhere for it to go.

- AI Outline requires Apple Intelligence, available on iPhone 15 Pro and later with Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings
