Goodbye laundry room

I have used Fly Cleaners for machine washable items to be picked up, washed, folded and returned the next day. I received them back right on time and well handled. The unscented wash smells fresh (yay! no cloying scent) and all was folded neatly and was sorted and easy to put away. I accidentally threw in something I would have normally hand washed but it was fine. Though I would not do this except by mistake I was pleased to see no damage or shrinking. If you tend to run late be careful about scheduling. These folks run ON TIME. (Yay again!!) I had an 8-9 am pickup window today that I had scheduled in advance. The driver was here promptly at 8. I am very happy with this service especially because it costs roughly the same as using machines and your own detergent. I won’t be going back to my building laundry room. It’s nice enough but who needs it when there is FlyCleaners?

Please note—this comment only relates to the Laundry service (dry cleaning is fine). This company could not be less reliable—I would give this app/company zero stars if given the opportunity. My washing machine broke about a month ago, and so I have started using FlyCleaners for my laundry in addition to my dry cleaning. My experience with their laundry service has been a disaster since Day 1. FlyCleaners only arrives for a scheduled pick-up or delivery about 20 percent (or less) of the time. I will receive a text message saying that my delivery or pick-up window will begin in an hour, and then three hours pass and I find that my previously-scheduled pick-up/return has somehow become my unscheduled. I’ve left work early several times so that I am home on time to give/get my clothes, only to have to leave work early the next day in the hopes that this time, FlyCleaners will actually arrive. Additionally, to add insult to injury, their customer service is a joke—I think I waited one or two weeks for a response to my email in which I asked “you were supposed to come tonight, but didn’t—can you assure me someone will come tomorrow?”. Needless to say, I am EXTREMELY unimpressed. My clothes also still smelled dirty when I got them back. I am so excited for my landlord to fix my washing machine, but in the meantime, I guess I need to find a new company to do my washing.

It’s a nightmare

This is the worst service ever! I sent two bags of clothes to them. They supposed to send back on Monday, but I kept receiving emails from them that delivery will be delayed. I rescheduled several times for the following days. Finally, they sent bag two bath towels on Friday. I called the number on app. The woman answered my call lied to me say the delivery guy left one bag at store. It would be delivered on Saturday. So I rescheduled a delivery Saturday morning. One hour passed the delivery window Saturday morning, I got an email say they won’t be able to deliver my cloth today. I called few times to figure out what happened. One lady said she found my laundry bag. She guaranteed me that they will deliver my bag to me by EOD and the window time is 4-7. Then I got another email say they won’t be able to deliver my bag. I called them. Now they admit they couldn’t find my laundry bag. When I asked to talk to the manager, the girl answered my call said “I can’t give you her private number.” They know it’s a difficult time for people to do laundry and no one can go to their store to complain. So they fully take advantage of that to rip off customers. No customer service number, no place you can complain. If you want lose all your clothes and get no refund, use FlyCleaners.

Sockless in NYC
I tried this service base on a recommendation from a friend. Initially it was great and I loved the convenience. Then over the past few months their service has steadily gotten worse. First I sat up waiting for a delivery that they kept texting me saying it was delayed until finally texting at 11:30 pm to tell me that I would need to reschedule. I called them to let them know I was flying out in the morning and that I really needed my clothes to which they said don’t worry we will hold on to them for you until you return. I was pretty upset to say the least but after returning I gave them another chance. I continued to se a decline in their service and reliability but what finally did it for me was when I received my laundry and upon putting it away found three pairs of sock and 14 (yes that’s right) single socks. How do you lose 14 socks in one load of laundry and none of the ones lost match. Don’t wast your time with this app. There are plenty of laundry services that are just as convenient and way more reliable. Fly cleaners also almost doubled the cost of my laundry over my previous service. More than double if you count all the items I’ve had to replace.
