This app makes caring for a pool easier than ever!

We only purchased the 12 foot wide by 30” deep, but our grandchildren have had so much fun in it! It’s been easy to keep clear! We purchase the Clorox Brand Pool products, bc we like the App they offer due to the trouble shooting they include on it & the schedule to check the pools water balance & chart it on the app. There was one time we went on a 5 day trip & left the pump going with a 1” chlorine tablets floater floating in the water & it rain/stormed 4 of those days while we were gone. Once we returned it was hot & sunny & the pool had many leaves & bugs in the bottom & on top & the water was beginning to appear light green. Inside of the pool on the walls & floor felt slippery. So; we got on the Clorox Pool app & began our liquid testing of the water & added the exact chemicals it suggested. Then we clicked on solve visible problems on the app & it literally asked step by step questions about the pools water & the pools insides & it also includes helpful pictures of colors of water in pools with problems. Once we finished the trouble shoot questions we were suggested to vacuum the bottom & sides of pool, scrubbed the inside walls & floor & add Algaecide once finished & the following morning our pool was crystal clear! & our friends have had an 8 foot inground pool for 10 years & they used this app to maintenance their pool this summer for the 1st time! They also agree that this app has helped them keep their pool clearer than ever!
Useful but not super detailed or educational.

I have been using this app for two pool seasons now. I find it helpful as I am not a pool person, but I am very familiar with water parameters as I keep many fish tanks. That said, I wish it had a feature to input all the Clorox pool products I have in my inventory and help solve the problem with what I have. I agree with some of the other reviewers - it feels like they are trying to sell you a new product for a new problem, but knowing a lot about water parameters because of fishkeeping and knowing how costly it is to keep it clear in a 75gal or 125gal, it makes sense on the scale of 1700gal or more. It keeps pushing the 3-in-1 clarifier, but it's out of stock everywhere, making me believe it's not in production anymore. I have the clarifier plus algaecide product. It would be nice if the app could say use X amount of one with X of the other from my stock. Anyway, I like the app for its ease of use but would love more info/education on problem-solving and the different uses of all their pool products. Such as the Crazy Carifier vs the Super Water Clarifier, knowledge is power and this app can be so much more. I am already a Clorox Pool customer and wont use anything else but its hard cause I can't walk into my ocal pool store and talk to someone About Clorox Pool because they don’t sell it there so it would be nice to rely on the app for that.
Wish it helped more with measurements

I downloaded this app because one of the Clorox products I bought said it would help convert measurements for the exact amount of water I have in my pool. Unfortunately, it didn’t really do that well. It does for some of the Clorox products, but it seems like the biggest goal of this app is to sell you Clorox products and not help the consumers who already purchased the products. To get conversations for any product I seem to have to provide test results. I couldn’t find any way to just pick the product I have and see instructions converted for the amount of water I have. I wasn’t interested in this app logging everything for me or providing suggestions. I was hoping buying Clorox products and using this app would help me convert measurements. It would have saved me a ton of time (and I would buy more Clorox products) if the app would show me all of the products for pools, let me pick one and be shown instructions for the amount of water I have in my pool. It would also be useful if the conversations it did provide could be shown in capfuls where applicable. So instead of saying I need .4 pounds tell me to add 10 capfuls or 1 cup or something that would be easier to measure. Maybe an option to show in either weight or capfuls/cups would be great.

Standing in the pool chemicals section of my local retailer looking for test strips for my spa, I spotted this brilliantly blue colored box on the shelf for a product with the name “Clorox Pool & Spa”. The photo on the front shows an iPhone displaying an app, also displaying the words Clorox Pool & Spa. My interest piqued, I turned the box over and read an information filled panel about the three ways you can test your water with Clorox pool and spa multi use smart strips. The fact that you could use an app to provide accurate water analysis and receive chemical dosing instructions was why I purchased these test strips, which were three dollars more than the strips are usually buy. This morning, I downloaded the app for iPhone. After entering a small bit of personal info, the app asks you to enter the dimensions and depth of your pool. Hmm. There isn’t a spa button. OK. So I enter the dimensions of my spa, expecting the app to adapt. Nope. After a few tries at finding a way to make this app work for a spa, I consult the box. Nowhere on this box does it say anything about the app not being available for spas. I had to the Internet, and after a bit of searching, find a post from a random consumer telling me that the app does not work for spas. Despite its name being Clorox Pool & Spa. So, while it’s not the end of the world that I spent three dollars more than I needed to, or a half hour of my time installing and fiddling with an app that is useless to me, it is irritating that this age is old company would not be upfront about the status of its app before it is ready to do what it is advertising. Thought you were better than that, Clorox.
