The iN-Command App with Global Connect functionality is specifically for use with our 3rd generation RV Control and Monitoring product which is identified by the Global Connect logo on the Display Commander (LCD touch controller). We have updated the App graphics, added control functionality (including Climate control for compatible HVAC systems) as well as the ability to monitor and control your RV remotely through the Cloud (internet connection required). By connecting your smart-phone or tablet to the system’s LCD touch controller and registering your cloud account, iN-Command now puts you “In Command” of your RV from any location.

• Water Heater Control: On/Off (gas & electric)
• Water pump Control: On/Off
• Tank Monitoring: Fresh, Black, and Gray
• Lighting Control: Interior, exterior, security, awning and custom 1, 2, 3
• Generator Control/Monitoring: Prime/Start/Stop control, Voltage, Fuel, Hours, Scheduling and Diagnostics (low oil, over crank, service)
• Climate/HVAC Control: Thermostat functions including Cool, Heat, Auto, Off, Vent Fan, Temp Set and Scheduling for select Dometic and Coleman products

If you can’t connect by WiFi . . .

Update: I worked with their help desk and found that a previous software update introduced a bug that sets your date and time to a point in the past, which then prevents the Global Connect from working. So, check the date and time in the settings on your unit in the RV. If it’s incorrect, correct it and then make sure the Auto date and time box is checked. Save it and reboot the unit. When it comes back up, make sure it’s connected to WiFi and then double check that the date and time are still good. If so, fire up your mobile app (after turning off Bluetooth) and check Global Connect in the app settings to make sure it says you are connected to the cloud. If not, click the link to connect. Then see if you can connect the app to the RV. This fixed the problem for me.

Original Review: I love the potential usefulness of this app but the reality is that I can rarely get a WiFi connection to it, even when the RV is sitting in my driveway connected to my house WiFi and I’m just in the house. I don’t know whether the problem is with the onboard INCommand module or with the app, but it’s frustrating for something that could be so useful to be nearly useless. I can get the Bluetooth connectivity to work if I’m in the RV.

Needs bug fixes

My RV is set up permanently in a park with WiFi. The thought of being able to turn on the heat or AC when we are on the way each weekend is exciting. BUT it isn’t happening. The control center goes off line (not connected to WiFi) after we leave each weekend. I have to go into the settings on the control center to reconnect to WiFi every weekend. Sometimes it stays connected for a couple of days, other times just for a few hours. Bluetooth connectivity works fine when we are at the RV. Otherwise, the app is not very accurate. The tank gauges are never accurate, usually just shows empty tanks when they are not. The water heater usually shows that it’s off when it is on. I wish they would fix these issues with updates to the control center and the app. Controlling the lights, slides, and awnings with the app well works well.

Needs major improvement

First off I am a walk through technician at an rv dealership and I have helped thousands of people connect the app to the bcm and ever since this was launched it isn’t great and hasn’t improved much and needs improvement. First thing is make it so more than one phone can be connected to its Bluetooth at the same time, during the initial setup or anytime it’s trying to connect to the rv please get rid of the dismiss button because every person i help hits it every time and I have to have them close and reopen the app and it just causes frustration for the customer down the road and why would you not want to connect to the rv when you open the app??? Next thing is once it connects to the rv during setup you guys need to have it automatically default to the floor plan step to download the units options because there is no way to know that it needs to be done and that’s another big frustration issue i hear about constantly. Also I have been starting to run into spotty Bluetooth connections when you try to run the slides or any motors it jerks that component when you try to run it instead of being smooth and that is hard on the motors. I’m sure there is more that I can’t think of right now.
