How did I not know this three years ago

I had tried three years ago ( after my entire family telling me I needed hearing aids) I bought Phonak
Made so many trips back to the audiologist I lost count. The one thing they couldn’t get rid of was the sharp sounds. A few weeks ago my sister bought the Jabra Enhance Select 300. She called me and asked me what I thought, after researching I knew she would never have the bad experience I was having. She ordered them and one day later I bit the bullet and also ordered. The minute I put these in my ears I knew how good they were. I had my appointment to fine tune them yesterday Friday March 15th 2024. I absolutely cannot believe how perfectly I can now hear. My audiologist was amazing…. I’m happy ( absolutely no sharp, tinny sounds)… more like a normal hearing person that doesn’t wear hearing aids. I want to also add before the expense Phonak aids, I had MD’s and Eargo…. Nothing compares to these ….. absolutely nothing

Nice Hearing Aids. . . But Some Annoying Issues

The hearing aids were easy to set up and use out of the box. They work fine overall. The annoying issues are The ability for both left and right, hearing aids to keep a connection when streaming audio. The right hearing aid does not keep a connection, and only one hearing aid on the left typically has full streaming capabilities. This also is similar when using the hearing aids, when talking with someone on my mobile phone. It makes it very difficult.

The audiologist representative that helped me get set up, said that it is because the phone was on the left pocket or right pocket and that was reading interference. However, I have been using the phone, repeatedly with holding it directly at my face level in the middle, and my right hearing aid continually loses audio when on the phone or streaming. Very frustrating. The audiologist scheduled a follow up, and I was going to explain this again to this person, but they did not show up in the zoom meeting when it was scheduled. I am hoping to get this resolved somehow.

First time wearer

I chose lively non invisible for my first aids and I’m glad I did. When getting used to them if I’m concentrating on something and ear feels itchy I go to scratch it. Oops - the hearing piece falls out but I don’t drop anything. I don’t have severe hearing loss. My husband speaks very low so I found myself saying ‘what?’ more times than I can count. Since wearing them it’s very rare that I don’t hear him. I also learned that the more you wear them the more you get used to them and how it affects what you hear. I thought I should only wear them when I needed them. When doing that - little noises got my attention. After talking to the Lively doctor - she explained that this was happening because I wasn’t wearing them all the time. She was spot on. I would highly recommend these hearing aids.
