Laggy & Non-responsive

Similar to other reviews. The app does not consistently connect to Bluetooth speaker. I do wish the ui provided more information as to the issue and what corrective actions to take. ‘Try Again Later…’ isn’t helpful.

When the app does connect to the speaker (mine is the One Plus), it is really laggy (lots of latency) between navigating from controls menu to EQ, and then back, etc. It can take several seconds for the controls to become active. This is also the case when adjusting the volume and latency in the speaker adjusting.

Hope Klipsch can improve the app and the user experience.

Rarely works

The Klipsch Connect Plus app rarely connects to the Klipsch Music City series speakers (Detroit, Nashville, Austin). It might connect once every dozen attempts. With all firmware and ios updates current, tried power cycling the phone and the speaker, tried connecting Bluetooth to the speaker first then the app, tried connecting the app first then the Bluetooth, tried forgetting the device through iOS and re-reconnecting, tried uninstalling, reinstalling the app. None of it works. Once you manage to connect this app with your speaker, the app will disconnect if you change any setting. By default it is frozen, yet use of the app is required to adjust speaker settings and to update firmware as needed.

Despite many reviews citing the same experience, Klipsch’s less than helpful response is they think the problem is user error: “It appears that you may be utilizing an outdated version of our application.” This when it’s additionally clearly explained above that all updates are current. Disappointing? Embarrassing.

App works, would like LPF Adjustment in settings

The app works for me just fine with my Flexus 100. I have it connected to my Definitive Technology CS9080 Center which has a subwoofer in it. It has an LPF RCA input if you choose to just use it as a subwoofer but it recommends setting the crossover point to 80Hz or below. It still thumps but would be awesome to be able to set the crossover point and some other settings for wired subs. Other than that the app works great! Haven’t had any of the issues others have had so thats awesome too! Love my Flexus 100 and am planning on getting the Flexus 200 sub and 2 pairs of the wireless speakers to setup a great Atmos system!
