Track CO Sensors for Safer Flying
The Lightspeed app allows pilots to check the CO levels in the aircraft during flight, using a CO sensor built right into the Delta Zulu headset.
The sensor provides real-time smart alerts via the proprietary Kanari™ smart alert technology. Historical data can be stored, reviewed, and analyzed after use and during the flight(s).
Personalize Audio with HearingEQity™
The Lightspeed app introduces a built-in audio equalization system called HearingEQity™ designed to compensate for individual hearing loss.
Through an automated 12-frequency hearing test taken through the app, HearingEQity sets the hearing level in each ear in a variety of frequency bands of the Delta Zulu headset to create an individual hearing profile and compensate for any hearing variations between ears.

Getting worse?
Like many I got the new Delta Zulu headset for the CO monitoring and the recording. The app is a bit flaky, but the latest update has rendered the recording feature almost useless. Since it stopped on my previous instructional flight I checked it constantly on my latest solo flight. When I finished 6 hours of flying through the day, I had 1 minute and 42 seconds of one flight and 37 minutes of the other….. No clue where all that recording time (and battery drain) went!
The app will start recording but every time you go back into it, it looks like first time opening the app and it doesn’t show any recording is ongoing (But recording icon is still active for iOS).
Hoping that future updates will restore functionality… But for now don’t count on it…
Recording does not work
Like many others have already said here, the app is no longer able to record comms on flights. When I first got the headset, this feature worked just fine. It seems that after the app updated, this functionality has completely failed. The recording starts, and seems like it’s working the whole flight. Then when I open the app back up right after the flight, it is as if no recording was ever started. Highly disappointing when you go through an entire 2 hour flight expecting to be able to listen back to the recording. I expect a whole lot more from this app, considering the quality of the headset it is associated with. Please fix this issue!
The recording function won’t work
I have tried using the recording option today for the first time, it recorded the entire flight, which was about an hour and a half, but when I tried exporting it, it didn’t work no matter what option I chose whether it would be via email ,WhatsApp, Telegram , notes, nothing worked.
When I tried exporting it to Voice Memos, the app froze which left me with no other option, but force close the app.
When I opened the app after force closing it, my recording was gone!
It is not in my Voice Memos, nor anywhere else that I have tried exporting to and now it’s somehow been deleted from the Lightspeed app, despite me never deleting it.
