Meh

It is a great app I have some recommendations though I would like to be able to view my music sheet with my phone up, not sideways or add a feature that lets you chose the way you want it and it won’t let me download the other pages of my music sheet. And it keeps saying the instrument name over and over again and it keeps repeating the clef at every line and it bothers me and it would be nice to have a feature that allowed me to to write in the solo parts for 1 instrument but it shows the solo for the other parts and it would not let me print the second page. I know these are minor complaints but please fix it or listen to these recommendations .

I still can’t export my second page and I don’t know what to do

Hello Vicky, The music goes downwards just like writing music on paper. Please try scrolling down, or you can zoom out to fit more measures. Also, tap the [HELP] button in the app and see the topic [STAFF] and [CLEF]. We hope this helps. We will do our best to keep improving Maestro.

Amazing, with a few problems.

I have used it for a good bit of time now, and it’s the best one I found. I have now started to write a few pieces on it, and it definitely deserves to be one of the most well-known music-writing apps, because it certainly is one of the best. Sadly, I encountered a few problems, like when an instrument goes high, it doesn’t make room for it, it just blends it in with the line above, or how it doesn’t have an option for notation like ‘expressivo’ or other important musical notation. Also, the only grace notes I found were ones that add the note right below it, but I haven’t looked that hard, or in a while. There’s a weird glitch that makes it so I can’t have a starting dynamic and then a crescendo or decrescendo on a whole note, it always gets rid of the first one I add when I add in the second one(If I put in the dynamic, then a crescendo or decrescendo, the dynamic disappears, and when I put in a crescendo or decrescendo and then go in to put in a dynamic, the crescendo/decrescendo disappears). The dynamics don’t work in the play through, so I can’t hear the melody over the accompaniment. I also don’t have access to my password in any way, so I can’t sign in on any other devices, so I’m stuck on my phone. These may seem like a lot, but all but the last two are pretty small issues (and minor annoyances), and all are easily fixable. I definitely recommend Maestro, and those other apps should take some notes.

Super easy and helpful, but…

First of all, love the app, amazing layout that is easy to learn and use. If I can’t figure something out, the help screen aids me 90% of the time. Now to my complaint/suggestions. First of all, please add a way to make the rhythm a ‘swing’ rhythm. Where two eighth notes equal a quarter note and an eighth note. I suggest this because of jazz pieces that I’m sure others like me want to create. It would be so much better than struggling to create a scratch jazz rhythm with too many tied sixteenth notes to count. The other suggestion I have is to have some instruments put into their key. For example, I play French Horn and it’s annoying making sheet music when the notes are not in F, the key French Horn is in. Having them in their keys to begin with, or just adding an option to do so would be super convenient.

Sorry if I said something musically incorrect, or named a feature that is already implemented and I’m just too dumb to find it.
I still love this app and I hope these improvements could be integrated someday.

Hello NonToxic56, Thank you for the detailed feedback. Yes, some of the things you mentioned need more work. We will do our best to keep improving Maestro.
