This game is not pay to win
It is rare when you find free games like this that are this good. If you do all of your daily challenges every day and join a clan and complete raids too when you are able you don’t have to spend a dime on this game. Granted I’ve been playing for almost as long as it’s been out,I have a fully upgraded wolverine. I’m currently 1000 something in the arena rankings. And I never spent a single dollar on this game. And it really don’t take that long to do the challenges either after you complete your first arena battle of 2 there is a timer that goes for like 12 minuets. So basically if you’re quick enough and use auto wins you can get all the other ones done and be done with them all in around 13-15 mins depending on how powerful your opponents are. I think this game could be better if you could bring in more characters however I understand the balancing issues that could make and would rather have a playable game that’s fun and fair than one with an oversized cast that no one knows how to use any of them anyway so you get a pass on the shorter list of characters. But seriously over all if you can’t already tell I really love this game. I highly recommend it for anyone who likes marvel or turn based strategy games.
The pop ups asking to buy are awful
The pop ups asking to buy have gotten ridiculous; the stealth buffs to raids and other missions continue to happen. The RNG on farming shards and equipment has been reduced significantly since the games release. Every character should be balanced and the synergies shouldn't be so strong that you should only use most players with their assigned teams. They started the game off great focusing on defending characters, controlling characters, support characters, attack characters etc. And you would just use some assembly of those styles of characters, but now most characters are useless outside of their synergies. The game freezes still somewhat occasionally although it's gotten better after it was terrible post alliance war release. Upgrading equipment past tier 12 will make months if not longer... Which is ridiculous.. Equipment top level should be raised and 12-15 be made easier to farm then add new challenges and missions that incorporate the power increase. Overall the game has been steadily declining since red star release, they've attempted to fix it but it relies on RNG just as much which as I've said is awfully low.
I still believe in this game and I love the alliance I'm in and the people, but the money grab and pop ups and difficulty on ftp is making it harder to want to play. They did a great job with war. That is a mode I truly enjoy. If most of this got fixed it'd be one one the best mobile games ever made.
541 days in
I’ve been playing this game everyday for a long time now. 541 days to be exact. It’s been one heck of a roller coaster. It’s had some ups and downs but without a doubt more so downs. Foxnext often acknowledges the fan base but rarely fixes the problem. The greed slowly increases as time goes on. Drop rates and in general RNG is horrible. Farming gear and characters has become ridiculously frustrating. Requirements for specific characters is getting worse (recently a Phoenix event). Alliance wars is just exhausting for so little rewards. The red star system finally got a tweak but you still need to pray to RNGesus. You don’t really get to play with you favorites unless you’re ridiculously lucky with red stars because without them and characters are significantly less powerful. Team synergy’s are great but locking down characters to only a specific squad is a bit annoying. The new xmen characters look to be pretty lackluster without the 5th character Phoenix. I still won’t be able to get after 541 days during her upcoming event. Gold is extremely difficult to come by. Raids constantly receive stealth buffs to make them even harder than the previous one which makes progression feel underwhelming. Sadly the list keeps going but I put my 2 cents in. Plenty of people I know are quitting and unfortunately I might be doing the same. Originally a 5 star game but I’m going to have to say 2 now. Disappointing...
