Morse Elmer is an app to help you learn Morse Code. Morse Elmer uses two well established methods to help you learn: The Koch Method and Farnsworth spacing. As you train Morse Elmer keeps track of your results, graphing them so you can monitor your progress. With Morse Elmer on your iOS device you'll have the tools to train whenever you want and the more frequently you train the quicker you'll become proficient.

I wasn’t expecting a whole lot for a 99c app- but wow. It’s got a lot going on. It’s a really solid app. Yes, you do need pen/paper to write what you hear, but if you’re in the field, you’re going to be doing that anyway. Train how you’re gonna g to actually be doh g it :) The ramp up is nice, ability to use Farnsworth spacing and Koch learning = win. I was also pleased to find that I could build my own character lists and use Dropbox to transfer them. Thanks again for building a solid app.
Twitchy settings, but otherwise good
It may be the hardware I'm using (iPhone, iPad), but changing the Farnsworth spacing can be a challenge, very sensitive and twitchy. Other similar issues, though not as bad as this one, throughout.
It was fun to take along on a long road trip.
Put it on bluetooth audio through the car stereo, programmed in 10 minutes at a time, and recited back the characters using phonetics. After a while it became automatic, no thought involved. What a rush!
No longer supported?
I can’t seem to get in contact with the developer. Both the in-app link and the app link to support is dead. The app itself is great, easy to navigate, very intuitive, the practice sets are well thought out and organized to get you up to speed quickly. But there is a volume level issue whether using the headphone jack or linking by BT. It is extremely low, perhaps a result of several iOS updates since it was authored. The developer needs to update the app to be compatible with the current version of iOS.
Developer Response ,
Hey Look Now I can reply directly to reviews! thanks for the helpful input. This app has certainly been on the back burner for quite awhile. I am indeed working on a new version. I wasn't aware of a volume level issue, but will investigate it and address it in the next version.
UPDATE: I just checked the volume level on my phone (iPhone XS+, iOS 12.2) against both lightning port headphones and BT AirPods and didn't notice any volume issue. Can you provide me with anymore details to duplicate this problem?
