Mountain Mike's Pizza 4+

I went for a graduation lunch to the Modesto store on Coffee and Orangeburg and the most helpful and kind cashier helped me and answered several questions although he was alone up front. Antonio was his name and he knew how to multitask that’s for certain all with a smile. So nice to see great customer service still exists in this time.

The selling point of the app is that there are special rewards, one of which is the $5 off for migration of accounts being complete and it is impossible to apply to an order in the app. There are a few choices of rewards at the moment and because of this you cannot redeem any of them. No rewards were selected and no special deals. I try to redeem the $5 off and it says you can only use 1 offer at a time, and no other offers are being used. I tried to choose different offers from the choices after this happened and it is the same issue. You cannot use any offer when there are more than one choice in the app. It is terrible. I have tried to use this multiple times in the past few months hoping it would be fixed and it is not. I end up just not even ordering pizza by the end of it or going to round table because it is so irritating knowing I wanted to use the $5 off or literally any of the deals and cannot use any.

The new app is a classic example of “it’s not broken, so we should fix it and ruin it in the process.” Nothing works, it’s not intuitive, and it’s nigh impossible to use loyalty rewards. I have a decent rewards balance mocking me on my account. Every time I attempt to apply it to a purchase it errors out and says I can’t apply discounts when there is one already on the order.

Problem is there are not any discounts already applied to the order. I call the store, they can’t access the rewards, so too bad for me. Oh and good luck with support. I sent an inquiry and never got a response.

Given that this is already one of the most expensive pizza places in the area, I’m not going to bother fighting with a flighty app. I’ll just start shopping for a new pizza joint.
