Works but there are more to improve

It works, the pictures in my iPhone can be automatically uploaded. But:1) finding a picture or a group of pictures can be a headache. It can show all the pictures in a month, not in one day, but in one specific month of travel one could accumulate tons of pictures. The app does have function to group pictures by location, but not all pictures have that location information, especially those copied from real cameras. 2)when selecting pictures to group as an album, I have to click pictures one by one, instead of swiping through, as in iPhone photos. 3)Sometimes, it can be extremely slow when selecting pictures. Once, after I selecting every three pictures, the system takes a few minutes to accept, and I have to wait to continue selecting. Just seems like each time you click it talks to the cloud disk, instead of letting you finish the selection on phone then sending the information to the cloud disk.

4)wait for the new version with the enhanced functions in photo organization, sorting, searching and selecting. At least it needs to match or close to the iPhone photo level.

It works but that’s about it

So far, the new OS seems to be working. I miss a few of the features of the old system. For example, I haven’t figured out how to move a file from my phone to my storage device yet. So far, it looks like the only option is to copy files and that can be cumbersome when you’re copying from a long list of files that you really just want to move. If you have to pause the task in the middle of the transaction, it’s difficult to keep track of the number of files that you still need to copy. That’s the other problem too: there’s no way to know which files are in the process of being pasted and how much of them have been transferred. You only get to know the number of files you’ve chosen or how many files there are left in the transfer. The old system used to identify the files that were moved and specifically, which files were in the process of being moved.
There doesn’t appear to be any support for GIF images in the new OS either. However, the things that the new OS does do, it seems to do them well.

Pros and Cons

Like everything, this app has its pros and cons. Pros: it’s affordable storage that you own rather than subscribe to. It’s easy to access on the go and can automatically backup your photos from your phone and tablet. Cons: if you accidentally delete something you can’t get it back without a data recovery company. It also lacks sorting options. For example, albums can only be sorted based on when they were added or created. I’d prefer to sort alphabetically. I gave it 4 stars instead of 3 because it feels more private than apple or google which might be sharing with AI or lord knows who else!
