Ratings and Reviews
Great app, it encouraged often visits.
Super convenient, and easy to look up & check out books. Never had issue with the app. It updated you rather quickly & loved the fact you can browse through different libraries in your town. The app actually made us go to library more often. The only thing I found was you could never schedule a pick up on the same day you checked the app once you were notified the books were ready. It’s probably to give the staff enough time, even though they had slots open for the same day.
I personally liked the graphics of the previous version only because it was visually beautiful.
The update looks boring, I do however like the idea of the icons for type of books on the new version. I have yet to explore the new version. So far I saw more books I think....
Not sure If I like the new update.
After getting help to find where to add multiple card holders it was easy, however I would not have figured that you can swipe the profile box unless I had done this by accident.
Where to find all the books in all accounts at once would be great. Being able to see previous books taken out would be fantastic but maybe that would just be to much information to keep track of.
I found librarian wants you to use the app, but then they also want you to call for pick ups, which defeats the purpose of app.
Developer Response ,
Thank you for your detailed feedback. To add additional accounts, swipe right onto your current library card on the Home screen. Patrons can add as many as cards as previous version.
App works great most of the time
There have been a few glitches here and there but overall the app works great. One time when I used it, the library staff was not notified of my arrival so I had to call to let them know I had arrived. I sent feedback on this and received a quick response. I like that the developers listen to feedback and upgrade the app as needed. Once the pick up is scheduled, there could be a smoother way to go back in to say you are on your way and then again to say you have arrived.
I’ve generally had a positive experience using the app. It does need a few tweaks: there should be a quick and easy way to see your scheduled pickups. Instead you have to edit the existing scheduled pickups to see what you’ve set up. Or deal with the annoying assistant that speaks/chats - not ideal to have to go through FAQs.
The other thing is that there’s no easy way to consolidate 2+ pickups or indicate your preferences.
For example I was alerted about a new book then a day later I got an alert about a 2nd book. I didn’t want to schedule 2 separate pickups. The library staff figured out that I probably would want to do just one pickup and they put all the books together for me- but the app did not show that they had consolidated the books. I had no way to request that or indicate that I’d prefer fewer pickups if multiple books are ready within a short time.
