Info makes little sense it is an improvement

I wrote a harsh review and this is an update. I appreciate the change on the graph from “production” to “solar” (but is battery power being counted twice?)

The recent changes may be confusing, but it’s possible we are now getting some useful information if it’s accurate.

Can we have access to more than just 24 hours of hourly data please. Even if it were 72 hours, it would be helpful...then I could see at least one or two whole nights.

Disappointing app

As others have said, I’m disappointed in the lack of data, lack of insights, and lack of control that Sunrun users get from the app.

I would expect to be able to see some level of real time data - not just half-day lagged bar charts - about what my system is doing.

My Prius shows me when the battery is charging, when it is discharging and more. Why can’t my solar system do something similar. Wouldn’t it be great to know when I’m using my own power vs when I’m selling to the grid?! Shouldn’t that be easy to see?

But more importantly, I have no control of what my system does. I’m sitting here with a Red Flag Warning in the Bay Area, meaning that I’m facing potential power outages and fires. I would love to send less power back to the grid and keep a little extra cushion for myself, just in case. But as far as I know, my system will charge as it can, and then discharge by selling to the grid until it’s back to 30% battery...just like every other day. It’s smoky and I’m not sure the panels will charge as efficiently so why can’t I choose to keep my battery a little higher for the safety of my family?

Nice app but could be more

While the app is nice at telling you what you have produced, I would love it could show you how much of your houses usage you produce, or home much money it saves you, or something to compare it too. Especially since your account is already tied to your energy provider, it would be nice to see the comparison
