Ratings and Reviews
Upgraded user experience is HORRIBLE
Some designer got too fancy for his/her own good. This should be a simple tool but the new interface squashed it. I frequently used the old app because it was simple to use. It meant I could quickly report pot holes, water infractions, and other city issues faster than I could phone 311. I reported on the fly, including at stop signs or street light. Now? It’s too detailed, too many questions and appears built for a computer not mobile device. Dumb it down, folks, unless you’re really trying to reduce reports.
Royal Pain Now
UPDATE: You all finally updated it today, yet you didn’t bother resolving any of the issues we have taken the time to post in regards to. So to sum it up, you all could care less.
Now when I see potholes, I simply do my best to dodge them and continue on. There’s no use pulling over and wasting 10 minutes of my time, trying to report them on the now complicated 311 app. The streets are becoming more of an obstacle course and can only assume it’s because less folks are taking time to report these things. When I see flashing inop traffic signals, same thing, I just continue on. Seriously, it’s a royal pain to report these things through this app now. So why should we even bother? The positive reviews must be coming from the app designers and/or city employees.
Horrible upgrade to 311 app!
I frequently used the 311 app to report dead squirrels, pot holes and traffic light issues. It was easy to pull over in my car, place the report with a few taps and be done in seconds. This new version is convoluted and difficult to navigate. How do you report a down traffic light? There is not a way to do this anymore that I can see. Report a dead squirrel in the road? Waaay too many questions to answer to place the report-takes much longer than before.
It’s great to have the ability to make reports, and issues are resolved, but this app is not an improvement at all for the way in which I use it.
