Notifications not working properly
good app, used it for several years. After an update a few months ago notification alerts are no longer working, thus making whomever receiving a notification unaware until they look at their phone, or having to look through many notifications to find when notification was received. emailed and called to see what was going on, was told that my only options were to either receive a text message or an email rather than the notification from the phone itself either ring/vibrate as it used to be. Notification alerts should be reinstated for better alerts rather than silent notifications.
As stated multiple times via email and phone call, all my push notifications are turned on. I was told the app does not sent noise notification or vibrating notification. The only option provided is to either get a SMS or an email. This app is also supposed to be eliminating on how many emails/SMS received, not increase them. Highly dissatisfied with the notifications provided by the app as you are not made aware of activities on the app unless you look at your phone.

Thank you for your comments. You may want to review the push notification settings for your OFW mobile app under My Account, then Notifications. On this page, check your push notification settings by clicking the link within the box at the top of the screen. From here, tap Notifications and toggle the switch to allow notifications from the OFW mobile app.
Not worth the price
When I heard about OFW, I thought it was a brilliant idea but I guess I must have had set the bar high on what to expect. And I was disappointed that it wasn’t well engineered especially since it’s backed and recommended by family court. From my experience in navigating OFW and it’s glitches, I would say this platform is worth something like $40 per parent per year. Seeing how many others have been unsatisfied with OFW in the last year, I think the company has had plenty of time to reinvent their design to satisfy the consumer. Its almost embarrassing that they’ve let this much time pass by without making the appropriate updates. I registered my account online on my desktop and had so much trouble logging into the mobile app. So the only way to log into my profile is on my desktop which defeats the purpose of making this more convenient than just using the paper trail of your emails. I recommend just using email as a source of communication with your co-parent. It’ll be a lot easier to document than using OFW.
Good. But, Could be Better
I am a family law attorney and routinely recommend this app (and TalkingParents) to my clients. But this review is as a user of this app because I use it to communicate with my child’s mother.
The app is generally accepted by the courts which is good. However, I think it could easily be improved. At a minimum, the app should be updated for use with an iPad. Meaning, it should support landscape mode and it should support scaling. For the price of the app, I do not think that it is too much to ask for.
Once those basic issues have been addressed, the developers should probably look into authentication/login issues, and adding some additional ways to get information into and out of the application. For example, the application could forward text messages to the other parent so that the end-user can simply use their regular texting app on their phone; similarly, a email forwarding could be used for sending messages to the other parent through the app. Basically, while the app is designed as a portal, it could also serve as a conduit for regular services so that records are kept in the app. Yes, some functionality would need to be added or revised but overall, the experience could be less clunky.
Still, I do like the app and I do use it. It has been helpful for both me and my clients. Hopefully, it continues to improve.
