Description

You should be rewarded for being healthy. It's good for you and good for the world. That's why Paceline incentivizes you to achieve 150 minutes of elevated heart rate activity each week with gift cards and discounts on the free app and cash back with The Paceline Card.

The Paceline Visa Signature Card is the first financial product that is literally powered by movement, rewarding cardmembers not only for spending like traditional cards but for moving, doubling the amount of cash back you receive when you hit your 150-minute weekly workout "streak."

The Paceline App and Card can make you, keep you, and reward you for being active — no matter where or how you work out. Join the movement.

Features:
• Reward offers from premium wellness brands such as Daily Harvest, Hyperice, and Alala
• Cardholders earn up to 5% unlimited cash back on eligible health and wellness spend and up to 3% unlimited cash back on all other eligible purchases
• Pairs with Apple Watch, Garmin, and Fitbit (more fitness trackers coming soon)
• The Paceline Visa Signature Card allows cardmembers to earn back the cost of Apple Watch Series 7
• Weekly goals based on the American Heart Association's recommendation for 150+ minutes of exercise a week.
• Your private health and financial data stays private; we will NEVER sell your information to third parties.

Paceline connects to the Health app via HealthKit to read activity and biometric data.

Keeps me motivated

I love this app and even though some of the rewards are small, they’re FREE so how could you complain. I’m on week 8 now and keeping up my streak so I’m excited for my $5 Starbucks reward. The app works very well, it’s extremely easy to use, and if you’re already working out it’s something you only need to check on once a week. The way this app is designed makes it easy to incorporate into my weekly routine. Somehow none of my close friends have Apple Watch, they all have Fitbit and whoop so I’m disappointed I haven’t been able to share for the $5 reward yet but that’s ok!

Mislead information about link a card

A friend has sent me a link to the app, and the challenge started at the set up… I was not able to do my set up since my email was already in use(not possible at all), so I have to open a ticket to have my usei solved witching 3 days. After that all was good, I like the challenge I manage to close my week and became eligible for my my first reward… I order to do that the app states that I should link a card… I was a little resistant but decide to do and that was when I was shocked the app didn’t want my card number, it want my account credentials, with my credentials anyone can, change my address, request additional cards, change my password, change my safety call back number, see all my personal information and on my case access my bank account since it is all linked together…I was very frustrated when I found out it was the only option and I also felt misleaded on what is really need to use the app… because at the end of the day… giving my credit card number is not that bad anymore.

Developer Response ,

Hi there - thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, and providing your detailed feedback regarding your initial experience with the Paceline app. We just first clarify that we cannot "change your address, request additional cards, change your password, change your safety call back number, or see all your personal information." We have read-only access to your transactions, but that's the extent of our involvement. This standard of providing credentials is far safer than a credit card number and is actually the standard your bank prefers to securely share data. This standard is known as Open Financial Exchange (or OFX). You will very likely see many articles online about this as well if you don't want to take it at our word!

For example, if you've used TurboTax for taxes or Venmo to send/receive payments, you're using this same technology. We believe in transparency, so for more details regarding the safety of linking your card, please check out this article here (https://paceline.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360051402731-Is-linking-my-card-secure-). We assure you that data protection is of the highest importance to us.

To get in touch with us, please send us a ticket at https://help.paceline.fit. We're more than happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have! Further, if you have ideas of how we can be more transparent, please let us know! If you have found the process to be misleading, we'd love to correct it, or at least inform people when otherwise.

Love it but not so much the new rewards or the new look

Paceline recently updated their app, changing the entire look of rewards and the actually rewards themselves. The new look makes it much harder to see what the rewards are and the new rewards are not as great as they used to be. I prefer to choose the rewards that donate money unless they’re offering Starbucks/Dunkin, etc gift cards, but the only donation they’re offering is Black Lives Matter. I am all for supporting black lives but Black Lives Matter is proven to be not a good foundation to donate to to support black lives. They used to have a tree planting foundation and feed America, both of which I loved to donate to, but now they’ve changed it and I miss the other donation choices. Please bring them back.

Developer Response ,

Hey there, thanks for leaving us a review! We always love to hear feedback from our Pacers and will pass this along to our app team. We are constantly updating our reward partners and donation options to provide new options to our users, and we hope that some of our new rewards appeal to you more in the future! New donation options are also always in the works, stay tuned!
