App needs to be more user friendly

App should be able to run if you want to hear music from another app. I feel like I’m stuck with the audio that comes with the race if I want to track my miles. There is stuff like me trying to just do a free walk/run and it started kicking me out and then coming to find out that I need to be in a specific area in the app to do this and the only way to find out if because I contacted support and they eventually let me know, otherwise there is nothing in the app that let you know this issue. App could be more dinámic, it feels boring and not incentivizing enough even though it says it’s “immersive” … app has potential, but needs work

Major disappointment

No-Bluetooth
After purchasing my new DeerRun treadmill I was looking forward to using the PitPat app which states that it syncs with Apple health. What a disappointment this has been.The app will not stay connected more than a few minutes at the very longest. Typically it disconnects from Bluetooth in less than 90 seconds. Secondly, it does not sync with Apple Health at all. I contacted the Customer Service department which offered no help whatsoever. I was told to send a video to DeerRun support, in which I did…multiple times. No help has been offered. I was however, offered $30 to keep the non functioning treadmill. I was also informed that apple does not allow their app to sync with Apple Health. It states on DeerRun website that it does indeed sync with Apple Health. False advertisement.As a last resort I will be returning the treadmill and expecting a full refund. This nightmare has been going on for over two months now. Responses usually take an average of a week to receive. Phone calls have gotten me nowhere with no resolution offered. All calls are directed to foreign countries where English is not their first language. Extremely frustrating to say the least.

We recommend keeping your phone close to the device and turning off unnecessary Bluetooth devices to reduce interference. If the issue persists, please contact customer service and provide your device model. We will offer you a more specific troubleshooting solution."

Pretty terrible

This app is honestly pretty awful, and I only use it because I lost the remote and my walking pad has no buttons so I have to use the app to start and stop, and change speeds. The only way it works is if you leave it open, and it’s very glitchy and heats up my phone. It also has sound and Bluetooth, so if I want to listen to music or anything in my earbuds besides the sound of my fake character walking I have to minimize the app. Then, even if it’s only been a few minutes, when I go back in it is somehow disconnected from my treadmill and says “app running too long, workout stopped” while the treadmill is literally still going. Then it restarts, stops the treadmill, and never tracked my workout. Super frustrating. If it wasn’t for losing the remote, this app would be completely useless and I wouldn’t even have it in my phone. I’m just ordering a replacement remote at this point so I can delete this headache of an app.

Did not know the app “came with” the treadmill, and I honestly barely used it… until i lost my treadmill remote & saw the app can be used as one… all the tracking the app does is SO fun and helpful, I’ve made a goal to walk 5 miles a day and it’s so much easy to stay accountable with the app tracking. I had major emergency pancreatic surgery back in October ‘24 and I started using the treadmill when my dr approved me for light cardio - being able to show her the amounts I could walk / how long / the speed etc was INSANELY useful and we used it together to get me back to my 5mile goals! Highly recommend the app, give it a try if you haven’t yet (like I did lol).
