Description

Smart Shortcuts, Widgets, and Notifications

Pushcut helps you kick off your automation when it matters. Create fine-tuned interactions for HomeKit, Shortcuts, and custom workflows through smart notifications and widgets combined with powerful automation actions.

Use HomeKit scenes, shortcuts, online integrations, and web services as notification actions that pop up exactly when they matter to you. Trigger these smart notifications from Shortcuts, HomeKit, schedules, locations, iBeacons, online services (like IFTTT, Zapier, Flow, Integromat, ...), home servers, or anywhere that knows what HTTP is.

Design beautiful custom widgets and display dynamic information that you can provide using Shortcuts actions, online services or our own API.

Fills a currently missing Shortcuts capability for me

Time and location based triggering has been one of the biggest frustrations I’ve had when using Shortcuts. Having a great automated work flow is fantastic but what I need is those things to happen without me thinking about it more than anything else.

Pushcut helps to fill that hole for me by giving me time and location based triggers (extra points for being able to combine them).

This need for me has been strong enough that I paid for the Prod subscription even knowing that there are some of these capabilities coming in the iOS 13 updates. I expect the developer will continue to offer capabilities in this app going forward that enable advanced usability even after the new Shortcuts capabilities are added. Third-party developers have always been a step ahead when it comes to iOS automation and pushing the bounds and I’m happy to be able to support such a useful tool to keep those boundaries being pushed.

Developer Response ,

Thank you so much for your nice review!
I sure will try my best to keep you happy by adding new automation features and capabilities to Pushcut as much as iOS will allow it. I have a couple of ideas lined up for iOS 13 already...

Great for only single actions!

I know a developer should have limitations when it comes to needing money, but it does everything that I need when it comes to making basic notifications. Only suggestion that I have is that there should be in is a help section. At first, I didn’t know how to push the notification out, but I know how to now from using your site. Please be sure to include a help section for those who don’t know how to instead of either writing a bad review or doing one extra step and have to go to your site to do so. Great app though! Very convenient now so I can automatically backup shortcuts everyday :)

Developer Response ,

thanks for the feedback! I will be sure to include something in the app directly to make this bit clearer. I also plan to add direct IFTTT and Zapier integrations which should make this part even more streamlined.

Excellent notification service with many use-cases

Pushcut is my favorite of the many available notification apps/services. I use it to improve upon HomeKit’s limited notification granularity. I also use it for notifying me of events on my Linux server, like a site update deployment. There are myriad possibilities.

Also: ignore the one-star reviews from people mad about the pricing model. I think by now any intelligent person who’s paid attention to the ios app economy knows it’s hard for indie developers to make enough money to sustain a project, and personally I’d rather the developers of the apps I use and love not decide they can’t afford to keep putting time into something that’s not sustainable for them.

It’s a great app, I use its functionality multiple times per day, and I hope it continues to be viable for the developer.
