Energy is the great mystery of life. The ancients described Qi as the source of vitality, energy, health, and well-being. Where does it come from? How can it benefit us? Where do we get more of
it? Qi Gong translates as the “skill at working with energy.”
In this routine, you will learn how to move with intrinsic strength. The routine begins by activating internal energy, getting it to circulate and flow. The program continues with
relaxed stretching exercises to free up tension and tightness. The routine culminates with flowing, meditative movements that strengthen the body's vitality and energy system.
• Discover how to increase energy naturally
• Simple stretches to clear tightness and tension
• Techniques to cultivate deep lasting vitality
• Flowing movements to enliven the body, mind, and spirit
Qi-Gong means "energy-work". Qigong (chi kung) is the ancient art of building the body's Qi (energy) to a higher level and circulating it throughout the body for rejuvenation and health. Some Qigong is practiced sitting or standing still, while other Qigong can be a kind of moving meditation. This gentle Qigong exercise is a highly effective way to reduce stress, increase energy, enhance healing, and generally improve your quality of life.

Qigong increases the quantity of energy in the body, and improves the quality of your circulation through energy pathways, known as meridians. Qigong is sometimes called "acupuncture without needles."

Similar to yoga, Qigong can stimulate the entire body deeply with low-impact movement and develop a stronger mind/body connection. The slow, relaxed movements are widely recognized for their health benefits, such as boosting your immune response, strengthening the internal organs, muscles, joints, spine, and bones, and developing abundant energy. A Qigong session makes one feel strong, centered, and happy.

Qigong can be effective in helping people with insomnia, stress-related disorders, depression, back pain, arthritis, high blood pressure, and problems with the immune system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, bioelectric circulatory system, lymphatic system, and digestive system.

This works!

I get drained very easily and this works as a treat remedy. I noticed a big difference after doing the 20 minute shortened version. I got this as an iPad app because I take my iPad with me everywhere I go when I travel. My biggest complaint when traveling is always feeling tired and getting drained after too much socializing.

Easy on joints, great for heart and energy

I LOVE this app and the workouts it provides. I have one of those “mysterious invisible disabilities” common among women and trauma survivors. Traditional workouts (yes, even yoga) are a bad fit. Lee Holden’s workouts and the accompanying apps are a terrific fit for me! They get my heart rate up and leave me feeling balanced & kind. Highly recommend.

Excellent workout

Lee Holden (the qigong guy from PBS) makes easy to follow qigong workouts for the mainstream masses, but he had extensive traditional qigong, tai chi, and internal cultivation training for years with Mantak Chia. He also has a TCM degree, and runs the Santa Cruz Qi Center teaching daily classes for years. Highly recommend.
