I love this app but when the timer completes it does not make any sound so unless my phone is on and open I would have no idea that the timer has expired. Is this a bug or intentional? Would love for it to to work like a standard timer with a notification.

The app is overall very handy, but the timer app could use some work. Mostly, it would be nice if it told you what temperature you were looking for (or a range) in addition to giving cooking time for more precise cooking. It would also be nice if there was a way to adjust time for convection ovens, as they are pretty common in modern kitchens; especially since the temperature is not given. Ideally adding both would be fantastic. As it is you need to be referencing temperature charts as well as the timer when using the app to get to your ideal doneness regardless of the type of oven you have. It seems like the timer overestimates cooking time, as if it is expecting you to have a low quality oven with a lot of heat loss, and one that does not have different modes for bake and roast (let alone those with convection option, as stated above) If following the instructions for rare in many of the cuts I would have a very well done roast (my oven is calibrated and quite accurate with or without convection).

Bought a large standing rib for new years dinner. Since it was expensive and I didn't want to mess it up, I found and used this app.I put in the size, type, and how I wanted it cooked and I followed the app and cooked this roast perfectly. With a 6.5 pound roast, it was totally accurate. Almost to the minute. Will definitely use it again.

Where do I start? It asks you about weight and then in parentheses shows (in lbs). Well inch pounds is a unit of torque not a unit of weight. There are areas in the app where it asks about the weight of your roast and it won't allow you to pick a roast greater than 4 pounds. It isn't initially clear when listing step one that you have to tap the horizontal bar to see the instructions for step two. Just list step one followed by step two followed by step three for you to scroll through.
