What is the point in a rewards programs if you have to use a specific card to pay for the purchase? We’ve been to the Rock twice in the last few months with all of our kids and grandkids, over $400 in purchases denied because we use a different card every time. And I’m not about to register every credit card I have just to get points at The Rock. Too risky. Very disappointed.

I visited The Rock today for lunch. The food and service were good, as always.
However, today my opinion of The Rock as a whole was severely diminished.
The Rock has given up it's simple card/phone number based rewards program in favor of a smartphone app. That, in and of itself, is fine. The problem is this app, and thus The Rock's reward program, REQUIRES a credit card number to use. I guess that when you use your registered card at The Rock, you earn points. (My server told me that if somebody wanted to pay cash or use a different card that you will need to take a picture in the app of your receipt to earn rewards.) The weird part is that when entering said credit card number, the fine print says that one must "authorize my card network (Visa, MasterCard, Amex) to share transaction data with Thanx" ... Who is Thanx? Not The Rock? All transaction data? Why does Thanx (The Rock?) need this?
This seems very anti-consumer. I do not understand why The Rock would make their reward program more complicated and force their customers to put even more personal info out there. I did not enter my CC info and have since deleted the app. My understanding from my server that my previously accumulated rewards would only be available after signing up with this app. I guess they're gone.
I will be visiting The Rock considerably less.

Thanx is the company that runs The Rock's rewards program and app. The only transaction data that Thanx receives is transaction information for purchases made at The Rock with your registered credit card. Whenever you use your registered card to make a purchase at The Rock, your purchase is added automatically to your account so you can accrue rewards progress- this is why you must authorize your card network to share this transaction data.

Great food and service
Everything was great about this place. My wife and I loved the food, service, and even the music is adequate for the occasion. Joey was very attentive to what we needed and we are extremely satisfied with not only his service but also Jamie’s and everyone there. Definitely coming back for more of the huge variety of things on the menu and also recommending to everyone.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
