Good, but has problems
App is good and generally works well, but it doesn’t work when I’m connected to Wi-Fi. I have to disconnect from Wi-Fi in order for it to open or even function. Up until now, mobile deposit has been great. However, I am not able to deposit a brand new check as of last night. I’m getting an error message that says this check has been deposited before. It hasn’t. I called Safe and they suggested deleting and reinstalling the app, which I did. Still getting the same error message. This is extremely frustrating because I now have to go to the bank and try to deposit this check in which I already wrote “for mobile deposit.” Please fix this!!!
Latest Update Has Problems
This latest version is full of huge font and bubbly texture making it harder to keep information private. It’s hard to check my account when the person beside or behind me can see what’s in my account as clear as I can.
Also this new version bugs out a lot. Numerous times I have gotten an “Application Error” pop-up, meaning I can’t see my statements unless I go to the Safe website. Very inconvenient.
The latest version needs some serious work. I have been with Safe for 5+ years and have never had problems until now. I have an iPhone 7 Plus and it just isn’t working as seamless with my phone as the previous versions have.

I generally find this app inoffensive and useful but it has some flaws.
The menu to access additional functions, like updating personal details, is a mess. It also looks like something I might have programmed in high school almost 20 years ago. Please get in line with current design language.
The chat function is clunky, doesn’t state how much time before someone replies and is a bit ineffective. Your chat agents are also overly obsequious. Less is more when it comes to a frustrated customer.
There is nowhere to apply for a line of credit on the app that is clearly accessible. I hate the website, I don’t have time to go into a branch usually. Please make this more clear.
I’d like to see running totals alongside each line item with the exception of pending items. Literally every other financial institution I have ever banked with does this with their app. Including other credit unions. Why don’t you?
