This update contains numerous design improvements for a smoother user experience. We’ve also simplified the rewards section (now called “My Wallet”) and made payment options more distinct. Plus, order ahead is now available in select stores!

Best Coffee Ever
I LOVE getting my coffee from Scooters. My favorite drink throughout the year is the Caramelicious blender and during the fall it’s the Pumpkin Caramelicious blender! All the staff have been so kind and cheerful when you come through the drive thru, even if it’s really early in the morning! I have the app also and have received many free drinks as well! As a customer, I would like to maybe see rewards for a free sandwich instead of a drink! The drink rewards are awesome but it’s nice to get free food too! Just a thought.. Needless to say, I will be going back for some more delicious drinks and food soon!
I was so excited to see a mobile ordering function had been added to the app. I would drink Scooters every day instead of Starbucks if I could order ahead and run in and pick up my drink. Unfortunately, this new feature is useless. First of all, it doesn’t tell you until after you have placed an order, but they don’t make your drink and have it ready for you to run in and pick up. They instruct you to go to the drive thru, give them your name, and then they will make your drink. How is this different or more efficient than just ordering in drive thru? They claim it is so your drink is “fresh” but if I cared about whether or not my drink sat for 10 min I wouldn’t order ahead. The point of this feature is convenience and this adds zero convenience to the customer experience.
On top of that, they still messed up my drinks when I literally entered in exactly what I wanted. I work in product marketing and I am just dumbfounded at the poor UX of this rollout. How much user testing did they do before they launched this? Scooters—if you want to be competitive with the bigger companies like Starbucks and Dunkin then fix the digital and operational issues or you’re going to get left behind. Your drinks are better but the convenience and access is just as, if not more, critical to get right.
Poor app…,poor customer service
This app has issues. At the Scooter store they say the app couldn’t scan, so we pay with cash only to find out that we did get charged…TWICE!!!! Reached out to the store, they say they can’t do anything so please contact corporate.. Corporate says to go to the store to resolve the over charge. Everyone is pointing fingers at the other or you could say the left hand does t know what the right hand is doing. They say customer satisfaction is their main priority, doesn’t seem that way to me. When you install the app, be sure to check the preload portion of the app as it it defaults to auto reload if your order is larger than what is in the wallet portion of the app. If and when we get our overcharged returned we will be deleting the app and will have to decide whether we will still visit Scooters. Worst part about it is that the store manager admitted they were having issues with the app. As a manager they should be able to resolve this issue otherwise what is her role as manager if she has no authority.
