Pentair customers with IntelliTouch, EasyTouch, and EasyTouch PL4/PSL4 pool/spa control systems that want to use their iPhone/iPad/iPod touch or Echo devices must purchase the ScreenLogic interface kit (PN 522104) available from your local pool equipment retailer.
Please make sure to download and apply the latest protocol adapter firmware (version 736). Please visit www.pentairpool.com and navigate to Support \ Tools \ Software to download the update utility.

NEW: Copy icon on System Name field allows easy copy of system name info. Copy icon in Previous Connections will copy all adapter names for an easy backup. For example, tap the copy icon and then paste the contents into another app.
FIX: Salt level reading no longer shows N/A for some users.
FIX: Unknown and None schedules have been removed from the Scheduled Programs area.

Often times, a simple press of the reset button on your EasyTouch or IntelliTouch panel at the equipment pad will do the trick. Other times, cycling power to the protocol adapter or indoor and outdoor wireless links may be required. Always use the latest firmware on your protocol adapter.

I’ve increased my star rating from a 2 to a 4. I’ve been in touch with Chris and he has been VERY responsive. The problem was “user error”....me. Everything has been fixed and the schedule is running as it should be. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the system is limited. I have the automated system called a easytouch psl4 and that system has a maximum 4 programs available to it. I had too many items scheduled (egg times do count as a program). This is not the fault of the app, but the system. We may have been told that when the pool was set up, but there was so much information given to us when we started the pool up it wasn’t something we remembered.
We have had issues trying to use the schedule feature since we bought the pool less than 1 year ago. It has never consistently worked. Recently I deleted our current schedule because we had to run the pump continuously to circulate chemicals. I’ve tried repeatedly to add a schedule, but it isn’t working. I can start the pool manually with the app, but I really don’t want to have to do that on a daily basis. VERY frustrating!!

New app is a great foundation but needs fixes
I’d like to preface everything said with the fact that I’m still a big cheerleader for Pentair products, I really do love them and install them weekly. I’m really liking the new layout and intuitive nature of the app. The addition of egg-timer option in the schedules menu is great and will help tremendously with the ever so popular ‘I forgot to turn off my spa’ issue. However, a few things are not so intuitive. Not sure about the widget support and how to make this work right. Also, and most importantly, what happened to the solar option in ‘heater’ settings. I’ve had multiple customers ask me what happened to ‘solar’ heating option when they updated their app. Please help restore this feature and/or create documentation that details how to control this via the app. Many of my customers rely solely on this app for control and communication of their pool equipment.

Hello Msor1, thanks for choosing Pentair. The widget works based on the last system that you successfully remotely connect to. You can use our ScreenLogic Config app to check or uncheck the Solar Present option. If this has been unchecked, then the Solar Preferred and Solar Only heat mode options will not appear. It requires about 30 seconds to toggle Solar Present on or off.
Really flaky, you never know what it going to do
For such a critical function of controlling your pool this app is terrible. To be fair though it not clear how much of the problem is the App and how much is the Pentair controller. You can set schedules on the App but if you set more than 12 they never execute. You have to understand the restrictions on the controller coz the App won’t tell you. You might think 12 is a lot but it’s not. If you set a timeout for any function (eg turn spa off after 30 mins) those count toward the 12. Pretty much every function needs a time-out otherwise it will stay on indefinitely. Then if you set two times of the day for one function that also counts as 2 of the 12. Before you know it you can’t control all the functions using the App or even the controller for that matter. Worst part is the App won’t tell you that. What you see is absolutely not what you get. You might think, just use the controller but that is not really practical unless you are adept at using 1980’s style LCD programming.
Considering how much these things cost it is absurd that they can’t make a controller and App appropriate to this century.
Pentair, please fire you software guy and find a new one.
