When an alert occurs, SplitSec can also share your location with your designated AlertCrew, helping them understand where an incident may have occurred. Key Features • Gunfire Detection Monitor your surroundings for potential gunfire events using on-device audio analysis. • Real-Time Alerts Receive notifications when a possible gunfire event is detected. • Emergency Location Sharing When an alert is triggered, your location can be shared with your designated safety contacts to help provide situational awareness. • Background Monitoring Monitoring is designed to continue while you use other apps or when your device is locked, subject to iOS permissions and system limitations. • Incident Updates Stay informed with updates related to detected incidents and alerts. • Privacy-Focused Safety SplitSec uses the permissions required to provide its safety and alert features. Location information is used for safety-related alerting and sharing. SplitSec is designed as a safety and situational-awareness tool. Gunfire detection is based on automated audio analysis and may produce false alerts or fail to detect some events. SplitSec should not be relied upon as a replacement for emergency services.
