When I decided to switch the staff seemed a bit busy. I’d possibly say overwhelmed but it didn’t feel that way as they handled everything professionally. Switched during the government mandated shutdown. Now, on their end they held my hand or outright did everything relating to fluctuating hours of operation. I had a lot on my mind so this little extra touch (also including researching how far in advance I allow customers to cancel and set time accordingly) its an incredibly fluid app from the customers end. I’m still learning it from the “admin” end, a tad bumpy getting started, but all around, less bumpy than the software I was previously using, and far more comprehensive. It’s a rather large commitment, as their own payment processing is encouraged. I would be upset by this but they are very very competitive with fees on your money. One thing to note, their are fees on the consumer side for certain actions. I’d just say make yourself aware of these other than that the app is pretty sweet. My Reps name was Tyler. He new what I was thinking before I thought it, at times. Good show.

This is a great app and booking system for clients. We as barbers and shop owners need more features that are found on other systems though!We absolutely should be able to sell product from the commander app with our barber profile. Booth rent barbers often sell their own products and we need a way to sell our own products without needing to log in every time to a browser.We absolutely need the ability apply discounts during checkout from the commander app! I don’t know how this isn’t a feature yet. My shop gives a 10% discount to military and first responders and we NEED to be able to apply this discount during checkout if they don’t prepay online. Shouldn’t be hard to implement this.We NEED horizontal lines on the calendar view so we can more easily see our booking slots and openings with a glance.Squire has amazing features for barbers but there is a lot it’s missing that makes me miss my other booking platform that also starts with an “S.”

As an independent contractor at a barbershop I find it tedious to set a recurring schedule for a simple lunch hour, I don’t want to keep blocking time for every single day. Also the system does not merge duplicate contacts when clients are imputing their information for an appointment. The concierge has long wait times. It is also very important for me to be able to access all the options on my laptop and iPad straight from my iPhone. It’s mobile version and I am limited to things that don’t benefit my business. The campaign option can also be tedious I experience glitches in the subject when I try to create an email campaign Invite it does not allow me to type in a subject. It also charges the customer a fee when booking and completing an appointment. When I ring up a client for a walk in price and let’s say the customer is new wants to pay with card and doesn’t want to share his information the system doesn’t recognize that it’s a “walk in” and it never appears in the SCHEDULE for the day. In the report it shows but not in the schedule block. If we add an add-on service to the menu like “eyebrows” the client can see that service and book it.. it’s good however as a barber I don’t want to have an appointment for just the EYEBROW service. I want it not to show in the haircut service menu and only show as an add on to the haircut service if that makes sense. Aside from all this mentioned not in detail it works just fine. It takes 3-5 days to set up haha over 30 days later. Multiple issues, nothing like having customers waiting to check out and having to delete the commander app and reinstall it because the time time zones glitch and you can’t charge clients with this happening multiple times. Gift cards don’t work well, it auto links into google and requires payment on google to book an appointment, the available appointments doesn’t present accurately. Customer support is very responsive but struggles to solve issues. Reports have to be downloaded to see and don’t show up on screen, deposits are inconsistent and reports don’t even show up and are inconsistent. I spent extensive time researching this company, did multiple calls and the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. I am highly disappointed across the board. It it worked as they sold it, it could be a good product but after loosing sooo much money on the system failing to working as explained or designed I just can’t anymore. Onboarding account managers and more supposedly exist but are clearly a joke.
