Okay…not great

The app doesn’t have as many settings as I’d prefer. Since I installed the dash cam, my car battery will drain because the camera keeps recording nonstop even after the car is off. I turned off as much as I could in the settings, but it still kills my car if I don’t drive at least every 24 hours. I never had a battery problem before this, my car is quite new. My battery started dying the day after it was installed. They recently added a shutoff setting to the app, but the smallest time option is 3 hours. I don’t need 3 hours of recording my garage wall. I’d love if they added a smaller option, like 15 minutes or 30 minutes. I have so much useless footage on there because most of what it records is when my car is parked. It would also help save my car battery from being drained constantly if it shut off sooner. I’m tired of having to jump my car regularly.

Basic app. Does what it’s supposed to do with its limitations

Most reviewers are expecting way too much with a wifi connection. This app is very basic to view footage on the or view live stream when needed. You don’t really need the app to see the footage but it’s nice to access some settings and see a live view or clips from your phone. Everything works the way it’s supposed to once you get a good connection established. Wi-Fi connection is ALWAYS going to be clunky, especially using an iPhone because iOS does NOT like to be connected to networks without internet, so it gives you a hard time to establish a connection. That goes for your OBD WiFi dongles as well. This difficulty with establishing a connection has nothing to do with the app. That’s just the way it is. The app works fine if you know what’s going on. And complaining about the camera draining your battery is just silly! Has nothing to do with the app and you can turn it off if you want. Also, how do we know if you wired your install correctly? I just unplug mine when parked in the garage. So don’t take all these silly I’ll informed reviews too seriously. It does the job.

Works Enough. Battery Issues.

The application works fine enough. The user interface is mostly self-explanatory, but the initial connection to the device felt cumbersome. Once connected, I was able to view and retrieve videos though there was some delay between selecting the video and being able to review it. I also encounters an issue with the Parking Mode feature. There appears to be safeguards in place to prevent your battery from being drained while parked. Unfortunately, this was not my experience, and I was forced to both replace the battery and disable the feature. I hope that this will be addressed in a future update because the setting could be really useful.
