Description

Worrydolls gives you a small doll who is ready to listen to what is worrying you. Tell your worry to the doll, then track it over time.

You can use Worrydolls like a journal to help you overcome anxiety and stress.

The idea of worrydolls started with the indigenous people of Guatemala. The first worrydoll was given to the princess Ixucane as a special gift from the sun god, with the promise that the worrydoll could handle any worry a person could have.

Ever since, tiny worrydolls made leftover cloth have been given to worried people. Whisper a single worry to the worrydoll, and hide it under their pillow. As soon as the worrydoll is told the worry, sorrow, or fear, it takes the burden and carries it from then on.

The app works the same way! Just tell a single worry to the Worrydoll, and the Worrydoll will carry it for you. In this way, you can have worrydolls on your phone.

When your worry is finished, you can tell the worrydoll that he/she does not need to worry anymore. You can always look back at your old worries to feel a sense of calm.

My grandmother gave me tiny worrydolls because I was always worrying as a child. Now, you can have Worrydolls on your phone. I hope that the worrydolls can help you just like they helped me.

quite helpful!

ever since school started again, i’ve been getting really stressed about homework, my insecurities, peer pressure, and even things outside of school like video games. everything has sort have gone spiraling down since september, but this app has really helped me! even if i’ve only had the app for about a week, it’s been so helpful. when i’m at school, i can just quickly pull my phone out and type. knowing that someone is listening to my problems makes me feel a whole lot better, even if they are just dolls on an app. a thing i would like to comment on is the character limit for the worries. sometimes i found myself having to reword what i have written to be able to fit into the limit, which isn’t a big problem but a little time consuming. another thing is how secure my worries are. i have set it so that there is a password and face recognition to open the app, but sometimes when i switch apps or go to my home screen, after some hours when i come back to the app, it’s back where it was, without me needing to use my password. this can be a but troubling for me as im worried that one of my friends or relatives might see my worries. overall though, this is a really really REALLY helpful app. i would definitely recommend it to anyone who doesn’t have a person to talk to when in need of help.

Great app! Some feature requests.

Fascinating idea! Just a few features I feel would be useful while I was using the app in the last couple of weeks:

1. search historical worry dolls. Helpful when you want to search for a similar situation in the past and see how it went last time. You can even sort worries according to final outcomes.

2.there are times I have not “finished worrying” because the outcome of things I was worrying about was either too far in the future or going on indefinitely. However, they have been relegated to a secondary place in my mind over time. When I try to finish the worry it asks me if the outcome is as bad as I thought, but I won’t have an answer to that. I just temporarily stopped worrying about that thing bcs there are so many other things in my life. I feel like it’d be useful to add “TBD” option to the outcomes or distinguish between “finished worries” or “temporarily finished worries”.

almost perfect

I love this app. i just started using it after finding it on tiktok. it lets you vent and just gets things off of ur chest. i feel a little bad for making the dolls worry but it’s okay. I also love how you can give the dolls masks in case people are insecure, i think that’s a great idea. i also love how you can use face id to lock it. the one thing i have to say is that i don’t like the character limit. i have a lot to say when venting and i don’t like to just stop in the middle. the app also kinda like freezes when i hit the character limit? So i can’t delete anything or even submit it. i have to exit out the app and rejoin and rewrite. so the one thing i would say for this app is to make it so that there is no character limit because i can’t fit my venting into a small area unless i give it to more than one person which is a little weird. But this app is great and is the only app i will ever give a review for because i absolutely love it but it’s that one thing they need to change which is kinda big so i’m giving it 4 stars.
