The latest upgrade rendered my system useless. Had to start again, after trying a few other methods, created an entirely new Sonos account, reset and added all the speakers, then re authorised all the services to the new account. Now it works again.

1 star for the rest. Other than the app being a disaster the sound quality of the Era 300 is not great. The excellent reviews the speaker got is either written by tone deaf people or were incentivised to do it. If there are any hidden potential in the speaker that can be unlocked by software they better start shifting budget allocation away from marketing to R&D else Sonos will not be relevant in 2 year’s time. I am of the opinion that most are disappointed with their money spend. For me, fortunately, I only brought 1 speaker. I was always wondering why Sonos don’t publish technical information on their speakers, but like others I was taken up by the excellent marketing of their products.

Impossible to overstate just how poor the functionality of this app is. Would recommend ANY other sound system to avoid being forced to use this app. Cripplingly bad software reduces value of hardware ENORMOUSLY...This app will not return a match to a search for a song/artist unless the search text is _exactly_ correct, don’t try to combine and artist with song title so expect to scroll through hundreds of hits if searching for a commonly named song. I’ve been reduced to using Apple Music app to search for a track, add it to a new playlist, and playing that playlist in Sonos. An embarrassing excuse for an app. Great speakers.

How do you release such a bad app? Surely it has to go through a extensive beta programme?? Ever since the new version I could not get my app to recognise the system. Then after a while of trying things, deleting and re installing. It recognised some speakers. It is very very buggy. One day it works, next it doesn't. You start music but then you can't switch it off. My wife still can't get her phone to connect to the system. I can't remember ever having such a bad experience with a supposed premium system.. Fix it guys, and quick!
