This app monitors the current Eskom load shedding status and notifies you if the power is scheduled to go off in your area.
Please note:
This app includes schedules for ALL Eskom supplied areas (nationwide) and ALL known municipality supplied areas (nationwide) that publish load shedding schedules. If your municipality is not included, please send an email to abisoft.loadshedding@gmail.com to get it added.

The best alternative
The way it shows schedules is far better than EskomSePush. Really love the outlook feature, showing current national power usage. Only thing is it’s a bit more finicky with becoming dormant for notifications, so you have to open the app every couple of days. Don’t know how other devs work around this.
THE BEST
Considering the fact that ultimately ESKOM is in charge of who and when and what they do , like say one thing and then do another, I don’t envy Brent his job of keeping up with the ESKOM Rollercoaster.
I would donate but I’m actually nervous of putting my details on the Web coz ther might be Shedded or something.
Great App
Current Stage updates
Hopefully the app updates have been sirted out. The stage 3 , then stage 2 advice, backwards and forwards when no changes has occurred is very irritating. Over 10 in 30 minutes. So I had to turn the notifications off. And now I miss real updates and have to check manually. Better than multiple false pings at night
