Horrible UI - Wrong Product bought
Below is my old review, I’m here to tell you to use the ussd to buy your data unless you want to waste your airtime. I bought a 10GB + 10GB LTE data bundle. Guess what was delivered, a 3GB + 3GB LTE data bundle and R49 (the correct price for the 3GB) deducted.
I wonder if the person who tested this app had any common sense to test it on their phone. The Transfer airtime function is frustrating because the Next button is hidden under a keyboard that can’t be minimised in an obvious way. Horrible!
(Here is a tip if you have an iPhone: Partially Swipe back as if returning to the previous menu screen, the keyboard will minimise and you will have access to the rest of the app UI)
Slight improvements.
Been using this new telkom app for about 2 months. Its started out as unusable, but after bringing up two specific issues in two different reviews and seeing it fixed within a week of the reviews, at least they are doing something tangible to improve the app and the user’s experience.
Unfortunately the transfer data function in the app does not allow me to transfer data from one sim to another device’s sim even though they both are registered to my account. I Doubt the is a limitation of the app, its more of a limitation of telkom themselves. If it is, it’s because telkom want’s you to spend even more money. Thats their bottom line.
Telkom please allow users to transfer data or airtime from one sim to another, more users will respect you for this and appreciate it. And please don’t insult our intelligence by saying it’s not possible. Data is not proprietary and is not made in a factory. Stop limiting progress and set a better standard. Money/profit isn’t everything. You might lose short term, but you will gain customers. That is a guarantee.
Bad upgrade
The old app was perfect, was working fine then they changed it. This new app is very in every way possible
I have 3 contracts under 1 Account. Before I was able to transfer data from another number to the other now it won't even allow me to choose the number to transfer from it chooses for me.
Also if I want to check my balances I should check 1 number then edit the n app and log again and check another number and exit again, if I don't do that it will show one balance in all 3 numbers
Bills are not updated.
This is a worse upgrade ever!!
